Ember retreated to solitude for the time being. She for the most part, hadn't seen Aurora or Kara. She needed time and space away from everything and everyone, and she found that, within her room that Aurora had given her within the castle. Through meditation, Ember managed to find peace, though she had been doing so for days. Though her mind was clearing, her heart was still in a great amount of pain.
She knew she had to stay away from Penny for the time being. Which made their mission a bit more difficult but she had Noone to blame but herself. Emotions were confusing, and it was going to continue to get in the way if she didn't find a way to get them under control.
The problem was that, these were new feelings and things she had never experienced before and in truth, she did not even want to feel them. To see Penny with that other girl, it brought way to much anger and she knew that she if she held on to that anger, it could bring disaster. But, there was nothing she could do about it except to stay away.
" I do want her..." Ember thought to herself when suddenly, a warm sensation began overtaking Embers body. She could feel something familiar with her, it was Aurora.
" I know you want your space and time, but I wanted to make sure you were okay" Aurora sounded deeply concerned for Ember, which brought comfort to Ember.
" I'm sorry. I'm just working through some things" Ember tried to lower Auroras concern even though she knew, it would never work.
" Listen, I'm here for you. And I would really like it..if you didn't push me out" Aurora pleaded.
" I am so messed up. I don't know what to even do anymore.." Ember tried to cover herself, to hide away from the world even more than she already was.
" Don't hide from me" Aurora pulled at Ember until she was able to break her defenses and pulled her into her arms, holding her closely
" I will not let you push me out dammit" Aurora squeezed with all of her strength so that Ember couldn't resist the embrace. She wanted to make sure Ember felt safe, even though it may have been impossible at the time.
" Thank you.." Ember finally hugged back, and tried to hold back the tears that desperately needed to be released.
" Its okay if you need to cry" Aurora reassured Ember who still did all she could to hold back the tears despite the other.
" I don't want to do anything. And I damn sure don't want to feel anything anymore" Ember muttered under her breath.
" You need to feel though. You need to let this out" Aurora tried to comfort Ember who finally looked up and met eyes with her.
" I am broken" Embers lips trembled as a single tear streaked down her cheek.
" You aren't broken. You are perfect the way you are" Aurora smiled and gently kissed Embers forehead.
" I'm not..I'm really not" Ember cried.
" You are to me.." Arora smiled as she reached up to wipe the tears from Embers cheek.
" You are crazy.." Ember closed her eyes, trying to control her breathing to calm down.
" Maybe.. but that works out for you..doesn't it? "
