Chapter One Hundred Thirty Four: The Dose Of Reality

Shawn had taken on likeness and was staring Penny down who was paralyzed with shock. She wanted to make a move but it was so difficult. The internal conflict was taking over and she hated it.

" Are you not going to fight me? " Shawn asked, doing his best to mimic Embers voice and matching it almost completely.

" I...this isn't fair. I'm not ready for this" Penny retreated by taking a few steps back.

" You can do this! Don't let it psyche you out! " Keera cheered on from the sidelines, knowing that Penny was beginning to Crack under the pressure. Keeras words did reach Penny but they didn't seem to make much of a difference.

" If you aren't going to attack first, then I will.." Shawn began circling around Penny who stayed perfectly still, still not bring able to make a move.

And just as he had said, Shawn Charged at Ember, though moving slightly slower than he normally would in hopes that she would dodge the attack. Penny however, did not move, and Shawn stopped a mere few inches from her, realizing that if he had made contact, he would have seriously harmed her.

" I know this is difficult but you're going to have to find a way past it. No matter what it is that you're going through, You have to be alert and willing to fight. Because sometimes your enemies may be the people that are closest to you and you can't afford to knock defend yourself" Shawn was giving solid advice to his daughter but still, she didn't react. It was as though she were in a trance of sorts.

" Penny..I need you too- " Before Shawn could finish, Penny extended out her hand, right in front of Shawn's face before releasing a burst of energy which forced him back several feet, crashing to the ground. This was far stronger than the magic she had used before. However, she didn't seem to have any emotion behind this, she seemed numb, and that meant she was making strides compared to where she had been only a little while before.

" Good..let's keep going" Shawn charges again and this time, Penny uses the same technique which pushes him back yet again. Though this was effective, he needed to see what else she could do and so with his next attack, he would go at full speed.

And without hesitation, Penny matched his speed and dodged his attack with ease. She then launched her own attack by firing several small magical blast towards his direction. Shawn dodged those with just as much ease, however, as he moved away from the possible impact, Penny met him with a strong strike into the gut which sent him back to the ground. " Jeez..you hit hard. Go easy on your old man" Shawn pleaded though Penny did not stop her attack. Instead, she continued her attack by launching more strikes at her father who only managed to dodge a few, even when actually putting in effort.

" Kid, slow down" Shawn pleaded again but Penny ignored her father's pleas. She continued her strikes before Keera finally spoke up.

" Penny stop! " She screamed and in an instant, Penny ceased her attack and turned back to Keera who was slightly terrified of what Penny could do to her.

" You are doing good but you have to get better control. You need to listen.." Keera tried to reason with Penny but Penny seemed to not care much for what Keera said and instead, rolled her eyes.

" Unless you are going to step in here with us..I don't want to hear anything from you" Penny hissed, giving a almost evil glare right through Keera's soul.

" You don't scare me " Keera tried to sound as confident as she could even though she was deeply terrified. " You could kick my ass. You could break me probably. But that doesn't mean that I'm scared of you. If anything? I'm tired of your shit" Keera had already come this far, and she couldn't back down now.

" Grow the hell up. Get over your emotional crap. I'm going to die alone someday, it is what it is. I basically have Noone except for you. And you won't be around much longer if you keep acting like a child. Everyone has relationship problems, but ya know what? Stop letting it control you. In fact, stop acting like a victim. You are literally stronger than anyone else here..or anywhere for that matter. You could fix the world if you want and probably have the power to make your dreams come true. Not all of us have that luxury. So if you want me to step into a fight with you? Then fine" Keera takes a few steps forward though she winces in pain.

" Kick my ass. Do it. If it makes you feel better then do it. But please, only do it if it's going to make you shut the hell up about how bad things are for you. Life is bad for all of us, Okay? And just because you are some world savior doesn't mean you deserve any more special treatment than the rest of us. Same thing with Kara and Gabriel...they didn't deserve special treatment either. And maybe if we stopped putting these fools on pedestals, things would have worked out differently. But here we are, doing the same freaking thing just with someone new. Grow. Up. " Keeras rant shocked Shawn who transformed back into his original form whilst Penny seemed to simply stare.

" SAY SOMETHING! YOU WANTED TO MAKE THREATS BEFORE? WELL SAY SOMETHING NOW. TELL ME THAT I AM WRONG! " Keera shouted at Penny who again, had nothing to say.

" That's what I thought. You would have nothing to say" Keera agitated the situation but it seemed to have no effect.

" I don't care what you have to say" Penny finally answered after several minutes of silence.

" Yeah that is pretty evident" Keera barked.

Penny closed her eyes and took a deep breath before finally muttering " Whatever" and then turned and walked away, leaving Shawn and Keera to watch in confusion.

" I should talk to her " Shawn began following Penny but Keera called for him to stop.

" You need to let her cool off. She didn't like that dose of reality and she is gonna need some time" Keera knew that Penny would have more to say, but it would take time for her to calm down enough to say what she wanted. Though, it was unlikely it would be positive or a step in the right direction.
