CHAPTER 13- RETURN MY CROWN
[Just after Sovvia left after their first encounter]
After Sovvia left, I began feeling empty.
Don't get me wrong I'm used to being alone but it was as if she had lit a fire deep down inside of me, She promised she would see me again so Id just have trusted her.
If I were a proper prince Id be able to see her whenever I wanted, we wouldn't have to sneak around using magic.
But the empress would rather drop dead than acknowledge me as a real prince...
Standing up I went to the bookshelf to try and find something to entertain my boredom.
I noticed the golden lights hovering over a specific book.
'Rules and regulations of the kingdom of Atheria'
This book is something all princes must learn from, before I was imprisoned here I recall seeing my brother read something similar to this.
Sitting down on the worn-out bed I began to read, and the more I did the more curious I became, Then something. One line in the book struck me like a carriage.
'All Imperial children have a right to succession, as long as they are related to the current emperor or empress they have a right to claim control and a candidate for the crown prince/princess-
I felt my eyes widen as I read on
-As long as the candidate is running regardless of how that person has been living whether as a commoner or noble they will have just as much a right to be crowned as those currently in the succession fight.'
It took me a while to process what this meant, regardless of social status or legitimacy all children in relevance to the emperor or empress could run for crown prince... If I do that then the empress will have no choice but to acknowledge me.

The next time one of the maids came to bring me food I decided to make my move.
"Bring me to mother. I demand an audience with mother" I stared at her firmly.
The maid seemed surprised and a bit worried but listened regardless "Yes your-..."
I noticed she planned on saying your majesty but cut herself short, interesting.
.
.
.
Walking down the hall once again in tattered old clothing, looking like a commoner who just strutted in from the streets. The maids whispered some even having the gaw to snicker.
The guards pushed open the doors to the emperor's throne room, Entering I saw father sitting on his thrown as well as the empress sitting beside him, as well as brother.
Luckily in most recent years, fathers 'sickness' had gotten better and he was no longer bedridden. How much longer till that witch strikes again?
"Son, what is the reason you have come to speak with me" 'Son' he says after allowing his wife to lock me away in the decrepit old room.
"I have come here as I want to make an announcement to you as well as inform you..." Taking in a deep breath
"I have decided I would like to run for the position of the crown prince." The emperor, empress, and the knights around us gasped in shock.
"You insolent brat, Who do you think you are to go around declaring things like that-!" The emperor cut her off
"Please. There Is nothing that says he is unreasonable or against regulations, however, I am wondering what caused this..." I'm not sure why but I can tell the emperor is suspicious of me. Does he know about Sovvia?
"No reason. Other than I feel like I have just as much a right to run as my brother" I announced boldly. The whispers of the guards and maids around us were loud almost deafening.
I raised my head looking into the emperor's cold blue eyes that matched mine. "Alright. Guards, please escort second prince Yun to his new room"
"Honey!"
"Father!"
The emperor raised his hand to signify them to stop. The empress gritted her teeth, biting on her nails through her gloves. I smirked as I was led out of the throne room.
Instead of returning to the west wing of the palace, I was taken to the main palace where my brother's room was.
I was led to a room with giant doors, the wood wasn't falling apart, quite the opposite. Even the wood was glittering like gold. Once entering the guards left me to look around.
The room was beautiful, the king-sized bed. The expensive furniture... Much different than how I was living before. My sleeping arrangement wasn't very good even before my father got sick.
"Master." I turned around to see a Butler and 3 maids standing bowing to me "The emperor has ordered us. We shall be at your service for now and onwards."
The butler's fingers pointed to a gold string in the corner. "If you need us at any time just ring the bell, if not feel free to shout for us."
"Thank you. Leave me now" I said with determination in my voice.
"Yes your highness"
Finally, I let my shoulders slouch, letting out a breath of relief.
I can't believe that actually worked! I'm not sure what would have happened to me if it didn't but... I'm just happy it worked.
I ran over to the bed and flopped on top of it, the sheets feeling like clouds. The silk felt extremely expensive, But I can't allow myself to get distracted. If I want to become the official crown prince I'm going to need to hone my skills.
In the end, it's the court and father who will decide who the crown prince will be, I need to win them over. With my lineage, it will be tough. But ill do whatever it takes!

.
[3 weeks later]
"Mlady" I turned towards the door the maid brushing my long dark hair.
"Yes, come in"
I had been practicing my handwriting as well as other literacy studies. "I came here to tell you news from Atheria as ordered." That caught my attention and I turned to stare at her.
"Go on." What could it possibly be?
"It turns out the emperor has an illegitimate child and that child is now in the running's for the crown prince. It was just announced a few days ago. It shocked the entire nation"
"m-lady!" I dropped my pen in shock staring at the maid with open eyes. The pen dropped onto my dress staining it with ink.
"Sofia!" I yelled
The maid looked startled "Yes your highness!"
"What's the name of this child?" I stared at her intensely
"From what I heard his name is Yuno... Second prize Yuno of Atheria"
WHAT?! This was way too early, In the original script Yuno wasn't supposed to start running for the crown prince yet, he coincidently began running once Lucia came to live in the imperial palace with father. Because of this, he met her and she helped him become the crown prince officially.
Because of this Lucia gained favour with the new crown prince and played a part in the villainess Sovvias downfall.
But this was too early. I wonder why the story changed.
Was it because of me?
"All of you leave," I demanded
"Yes, m'lady!" The two maids said in unison hurrying out the room.
I crawled under the bed grabbing the white powder Yuno had given me, I have yet to use it. But Yuno said using the powder would immediately bring me to him.
Painting the magic circle on the floor of my room I said the chant for the second time "-----".
I still wasn't used to the feeling of nausea and my feet taking off from the ground. I felt myself falling once again. Looking down I noticed I was once again in the sky, however, this time there weren't any bushes where I was going to land.
Did I say the spell wrong? Draw the circle wrong?
What do I do
I screamed flailing my arms around bracing myself for impact with the ground. But the familiar feeling of arms wrapping around me made me open my eyes. As I did I saw the beautiful white hair and oceanic blue eyes staring at me. A blush appeared on my face realizing I was still in my nightgown.
"You sure know how to make an entrance m'lady."
