'He does seem to have a good point… Even though I am kind of unreserved about the idea of eating wolf meat, but in an apocalyptic world, I can't be so picky… I am sure that a lot of people are going to die due to starving, I shouldn't waste anything, but there is still a small problem…' Daichi rubbed his chin as the rest of the group continued to argue.

"Matthew is right!" Daichi finally spoke up, making everyone stop. Saeko and Bella weren't taking part in the argument as Bella was translating for Saeko.

"You can't be serious…" Dylan paled in horror.

"We can't waste any food, especially in a situation like this. In the next few months, most of the food stock is going to go bad. Even if we use freezers, there is no way that we could preserve food for such a long time, so we need to get used to food like meat from wild animals…" Daichi explained and the ones who were against the idea could no longer argue.

"Though we still have a problem… We don't know if the meat of a mutated beast is safe to consume or not" Daichi added with an unsure look on his face.

"Milord, leave it to me…. Bella could verify if the wolf meat is safe to consume or not" Bella proclaimed proudly as she stepped forward with a fanatical glint in her eyes.

"And how are you planning to do that?" Dylan questioned with a doubtful look on his face as he crossed his arms over his chest. Dylan was against the whole idea from the beginning.

Bella turned toward the boy and glared at him... Dylan immediately flinched back in fear, Bella's title working like it was supposed to. "Bella could always force you to eat it!!" Bella screeched with a mad glint in her eyes, all the new members flinched back in fear as Bella furiously glared around. Even Yuriko wasn't spared from her glare, even she flinched back in fear.

Then all of a sudden the madness in Bella's eyes disappeared as she turned back toward Daichi. The fanatical glint returned in her eyes. "Milord, I was planning to eat it myself so that Bella could check if the meat is safe for you or not" Bella said with a bright smile on her face.

"Nope! That is not happening" Daichi shot down Bella's suggestion without missing a beat.

"Kuh!!" Bella felt like a bludger slammed into her gut. "B—but, Mi-Milord, Bella always wanted to check if Lord's food is safe or not by putting her own life at risk!" Bella protested with a righteous look on her face. "It is one of Bella's dreams!!" Bella proclaimed, looking somewhat distressed. From the look on Bella's face, it was pretty clear that Bella was being completely serious.

After hearing Bella's words, Daichi was left completely speechless. 'Insane indeed!!' Daichi screamed inside his mind. 'I don't know if I should praise her or scold her… She is getting worked for the wring thing! If this is one of her dreams then I seriously don't want to know about the rest of her dreams…' Daichi couldn't help but grimace at that thought. Meanwhile, Saeko was softly giggling at the back, at any moment, Bella wasn't boring.

"Bella, can't you use a simple Spell to check if the meat is safe or not?" Daichi suggested carefully and Bella seemed to sag in defeat.

"Yes, I can do that too, but it is not the same!!" Once again, Bella protested. "But if my Lord wishes for Bella to use the Spell then that is what Bella is going to do" Bella muttered with a pout on her face. It was clear that Bella wasn't happy with this development, so Daichi decided that he needed to say something to raise her spirits.

"…Bella, you are someone very important to me, and I don't want you to get hurt due to something unnecessary like this. I don't want you to uselessly put your life at risk…" Daichi said as he started to pet Bella's head. Even though the stuff Daichi said mind sound cheesy, those were his actual feelings. Bella beamed at the praise and started to wave her hands like a cheerful little girl.

"*ahem* Don't you think that we have wasted enough time here Daichi-kun?" All of a sudden Saeko spoke up, reminding Daichi that they were on the clock.

"Yes, you are right. Anthony, take some members and bring us some bags so that we could carry the wolves" Daichi ordered and Anthony simply nodded his head in understanding. He decided to take Joyce, Dylan, and Candice along with him, they were the only fighters that he had brought on board, so Daichi decided to send the two useless girls along with them too. At least the two of them could help them carry stuff.

"If you find anything else, which you think might be important, don't forget to get that too" Daichi called out when Anthony and his group were already heading towards the mini-van, Anthony stopped for a moment, and after giving Daichi another nod, he started to head towards the vehicle.

"Do you think they will be fine? They are not familiar with the city" Yuriko pointed out with a hint of worry in her voice.

"They had to if they want to live" Daichi answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"You are quite heartless, aren't you?" Yuriko accused Daichi, but he simply shrugged it off.

"You may think whatever you want to, but just like I mentioned last night, I am not running a charity… Everyone in the group needs to pull their own weight one way or another" Daichi replied back in a dismissive tone and Yuriko released a defeated sigh as her shoulders sagged.

"You are right, but I still can't bring myself to get used to the current world order" Yurkio muttered sullenly, unlike her husband, she was neither a hardliner, nor she had an urge to become a hero, but it was only the third day of the apocalypse, she was having a hard time getting rid of the norms.

"I understand where you are coming from, even I am having difficulties getting used to this world, just yesterday I found a man who had been cutting up humans so that he could feed his Zombiied wife… that was the most horrifying experience for me" Daichi muttered while looking towards the sky.

Meanwhile, Yuriko paled drastically like she had seen a ghost. "It was the most fucked up thing I ever saw, but I knew that I couldn't give up. I needed to keep going for myself and everyone who had decided to put their trust in me, but I refuse to drag useless dead weights with me…" Daichi finally lowered his head and stared at Yuriko with a determined look on his face.

"And that is why I am glad that you are our Leader, I am sure that the others who also followed us from the school think like that" Saeko smiled softly.

"…I see, that must be why even my daughter voted for you yesterday" Yuriko said with a nod of her head. After the incident of Sato Ichika, Yuriko had already decided that Daichi is the best Leader for their group as he was putting the safety of his group above everything else. Now, after talking with Daichi, Yuriko's decision was strengthened.

"Hm… I think we have wasted enough time, let's look for barrels" Daichi clapped his hands with an excited grin on his face.

"Wait! I have a better idea. How about we use fire trucks?" Yuriko suggested hurriedly and after thinking for a bit, Daichi realized that Yuriko's idea was brilliant. Now, Daichi finally understood where Saya's smarts came from… From what he had heard about Papa Takagi, the man had an over-inflated ego along with a hero complex, and a lot of pride, can't forget about the pride.

'After all, he decided to toss away his daughter and wife for his pride, especially such a beautiful and sexy wife. I will be sure to take care of her…' Daichi mused internally. Then he finally shook his head to clear his mind, it wouldn't do for him to get a boner right now. 'Focus Daichi, no horny. You can be horny after you get back…' Daichi chastised himself. Daichi wasn't surprised that he was drawn toward Yuriko instead of Saya, after all, he had been always drawn toward mature women…

"Daichi-kin, are you okay?" Saeko asked in a worried tone and Daichi simply nodded his head.

"Though if we get firetrucks, then we would need to look for a new base as soon as possible" Daichi immediately changed the topic.

"Yes, I agree. The house will be way too cramped, especially now that our camp has grown even bigger" Saeko agreed with Daichi.

"That will be the first thing we need to do tomorrow. Now, let's go and get ourselves some firetrucks" Daichi said with a grin.

"Good, the fire station isn't that far from here, we could go on foot" Yuriko suggested, she knew that Daichi could drive, but she wasn't sure about Bella or Saeko. If they went on foot then they wouldn't need to spare a driver for the Humvee.

"Okay, but let me remove the fuses, we can't have anyone stealing our Humvee now, can we?" Daichi grinned as he popped open the hood of the Humvee…
