Back at Fujimi Academy...

Kajin Akira stared out of the window with a grim look on his face. He was leading his life like any other normal high-school student. Waking up in the morning, coming to school, doing club activities with his classmates and juniors, and sometimes hanging out with his friends and girlfriend after school, but just two days ago, his life was turned upside down.

"What are you thinking about?" Hotaru Jun, Akira's girlfriend asked from behind. Even though she had a smile on her face, it was pretty clear that the smile was forced. Just like the others, she hasn't eaten anything since yesterday.

"We need to get out of this place or we will end up dying due to starvation… I thought that staying here will be a good thing, but this place has turned into our prison…" Akira shook his head. After hearing Akira's words, Jun couldn't help but grimace.

"…I agree with you. Everyone's morale is already low, but do you really want to go out, with our ability, I know we will be fine, but there is no way that we would be able to protect everyone… There are a lot of students who haven't even killed a single Zombie. Do you really want to risk it?" Jun asked in a worried tone and Akira simply released a defeated sigh.

"If I knew that most of the food in the canteen was gone, then I wouldn't have stayed here. I would have left too…" Akira grumbled. He wasn't going to blame anyone, after all, he knew that food was a very important resource and everyone with a good head over their shoulders would try to secure as much as food possible.

"That bastard Shidou seems to have a lot of food, but you know what he wants" Akira growled in anger as he clenched his fists in anger. He wished the man had died when Yozora Daichi abandoned the man along with his group. The man had somehow survived after sacrificing a couple of students.

"I hate that man!! The way he is treating the girls in his group is simply hideous" Jun closed her eyes in anger. She still remembered the condition of the girls who had foolishly joined that hideous man's group.

"Do you think that I don't want to get rid of him, but thanks to Takashi we already know what his Skill is… He will use the students under his influence to protect himself. The students under his influence act like Zombies too… They believe that he is their God. They wouldn't mind dying for him, they are simply brainwashed fanatics" Akira grimaced in anger. He wanted to tear the man apart with his bare hands, but he knew that he couldn't.

After returning to the school, Koichi Shido must have gone to raid the canteen to get the rest of the food, and he must have the rest of the night, creating his own group. So the next day, the man decided to pay their group a visit. After announcing that most of the surviving teachers were a part of his group and he had also secured a lot of food, he left. Akira had no idea how the man was able to do that, after all, he barely survived when his group was surrounded by the Zombies.

Even though Akira was doubtful, not all the members of his group felt like him. So, there were a lot of students who decided to leave his group and join Koichi Shidou. Those students still trusted in the teachers, they felt that the teachers would be able to save them, but that wasn't the problem that broke the camel's back. The students who decided to leave also took the food their group had collected with them.

Now, Akira was leading a completely normal life before all of this shit started, so he was unable to make a firm decision, and that is when he was informed by Hisashi Igou and Komuro Takashi that someone had assaulted Kei Hana and left her in the hall. Instead of pursuing the students who stole the food, he decided that helping Kei Hana was more important.

Thankfully, Hana wasn't hurt, she was one of the important members of his group as she has awakened a good Skill. After she woke up, Hana looked slightly terrified, but after calming down, she quickly revealed what has happened to her. It seemed that the person who had assaulted her was looking for Yozora Daichi. Akira had no idea what type of person Yozora Daichi was, but he realized that he must be someone important.

Yozora Daichi was one year ahead of him when he was still in school even though he had already graduated, he was still in school for whatever reason when this shit started. There was a rumor that something was going on between Yozora Daichi and Kyoko Hayashi, but at the end of the day, it was simply a rumor. After all, if something like that was really going on, then Yozora Daichi would have been expelled or at least, suspended and Kyoko Hayashi would have been fired.

Just after he finished dealing with Kei Hana, Takashi decided to inform him that Koichi Shidou possessed a type of Brainwashing Skill. Akira had to use all of his willpower to stop himself from hitting Takashi. The boy was present when Shidou had paid them a visit, why Takashi didn't inform him about the man's Skill at that time was simply beyond him. He could have stopped the students who left his group, at least he would have been able to keep the food.

According to Takashi, Koichi Shidou's Skill is called the Voice of God. If you trusted the man even of little, then he could brainwash them into extremely loyal followers or fanatics, who would happily lay down their lives for the man. If you didn't trust the man then the Skill was not going to work on you. At least, that is what Komuro Takashi had told him.

Komuro Takashi's Skill is called Archive Reader, so Takashi could read the Status Window along with the Skill Page of anyone. So, after a long consideration, Akira finally decided to visit Shidou's group to ask for some food. He was sure that the man wasn't going to deny him some food for his group, but he was wrong. He took a few boys with him to meet Shidou, but that had been a mistake.

The man had obviously denied their request and after that, he had offered them to become a part of his group. Since Akira had hand-picked the boys who didn't trust Shidou in the slightest, the man had been unable to use his Brainwashing Skill on them. So Koichi Shidou decided to use another tactic, he snapped his finger and two naked girls came out of the room behind him.

Akira along with the other boys had been gobsmacked, Shidou offered that if another joined his group, then they will not only have the food they would also be able to enjoy all the women in the group. A couple of boys immediately decided to join the man's group. When Akira saw the way the Shidou was treating the women in his group, he was unable to hold back his anger and lunged toward the man, but the two naked girls jumped in front of Shidou with the intention of protecting the man.

So, Akira had to reluctantly stop himself from attacking the man, he had tried to get the girls to move away, but they were ready to die. Akira could only back out, albeit grudgingly. After returning to his own group, he revealed everything that had transpired at Shidou's base. It would be an understatement to say that the females in his group had been enraged.

"Then, let's talk with the others, we need to get out of this place. I am not going back to that to ask for food, the last time he was nice, this time he may use his cultists to attack us" Akira pointed out.

Akira had received a Skill that allowed him to transform into a beast. Jun had told him that he looked like those werewolves from the Underworld movies, but his ability must be superior because unlike the Lycans from the movies, he didn't lose his pants after transforming and for that, Jun was extremely glad. She had been intimate with Akira, but she didn't want her boyfriend to give a show.

Hotaru Jun had received a Skill that allowed her to cast a buff that boosted the Strength and Agility parameter of three people at once. During the duration of the buff, the person's Strength and Agility would get boosted by five points which was a lot, and the buff would last for thirty minutes. Unfortunately, she could only use the buff once before she needed to wait for her Mana reserve to get refilled.

"Okay, then I will call the others, though I think that not everyone will agree to leave with us…" Jun reminded Akira as she left. Akira knew that too, but it was better to die out there, instead of starving in here. Unlike many, he had already lost hope of getting rescued by the Government…
