Hannibal texted Alanna that he had herb mix ready, but he didn't know if it would work. Alanna was about to leave the company, so this news calmed her spirits. In a few minutes she would meet Tyr and she was already suffering in anticipation because of that.

She didn't see him as Adarlan at all. And the fact that they both shared the same face did nothing to move her heart. In fact, it did move: with disappointment.

Tyr was waiting for Alanna at the agreed place, begrudgingly. He still had a faint hope of getting her somewhere else, like Clear Creek. There they would be alone and the chance of him having more intimacy with her would be much greater. He didn't know what the other man was like, but he couldn't believe he would be so much more handsome than himself. Tyr was tall, with a large, muscular body. His features were considered almost perfect, symmetrical. Women threw themselves at his feet, so he didn't understand how Alanna could be so dismissive.
