39 Chased by a Dog

Mu Yuexin did not dare to touch them even lightly in fear that she would wipe the markings off of the already vulnerable things. She took many hours to sort out the files and by the time dusk had already arrived.

Guru~ Guru~

Mu Yuexin's stomach protested in hunger because she had yet to eat her lunch timely again.

"This has happened again…" As Mu Yuexin murmured, she caressed her belly and went beside the door with a devastating look. She knocked on it and said aloud, "Anyone there? I am trapped here."

Silence.

"Pssh!" She snorted out in anger.

Mu Yuexin also took out her phone and did not see any reply from Secretary Han either. She became worried and murmured, "Why am I still stuck here?! Who locked me inside?!"

As Mu Yuexin murmured, she knew that if she did not do something it was possible that she would have to stay the night being locked here and to her, it was more horrifying than losing her money!

"Damn it! This place is so nasty! I should have exchanged contacts with Wo Lin and other employees." Mu Yuexin regretted it. Without thinking twice she called her bestie, Li Yi.

"Li Yi, someone locked me inside the file storage of the HR department. Save me!" Mu Yuexin shouted with a vague sob. Even the whole room echoed her shout.

"Ah! Ah! Who dared to do this to my babe?! Don't worry! I am coming!" Li Yi angrily yelled which made Li Feng flinch.

She turned to Li Feng and ordered like she was his boss. "Go to Han Corporation! Something is wrong!"

As for what was wrong, she decided not to tell him at the moment. Li Feng's mind worked faster than Li Yi and guessed it was about Mu Yuexin. He couldn't run faster when matters regarding her were involved.

"How can the company close so early?!" Li Yi murmured speechlessly as she saw the building which was shrouded in darkness. And the most infuriating thing was that the front door was locked, even thick chains were used in it.

"Are they living in the pa or what?!"

When she looked around she didn't even notice any guards in the surroundings. But her eyes noticed the CCTV camera in one corner of the building.

She walked in front of it and put on an aggressive stance. After gritting her teeth, she shouted at the CCTV camera, "Hey, you dummies! My babe works in your HR department! She is locked in there… @#&@/f$¥€…"

Li Yi spoke for a long time until her voice got sore and repeated the lines in case any deaf was on the other side of the CCTV and could not hear her clearly and needed to read her lips instead. Li Feng tried to hide his face when she suddenly showed her ultimate infuriation at the other person… her cute middle finger.

The man who was enjoying the grievance of the beautiful lady, paused eating his chips when she became extremely rude and cursed aloud at the camera. He snorted and then looked beside him.

"A bitch is making trouble here! She is spitting nonsense. Free Liona!" The chief guard told his underling.

"Alright!" The young underling nodded.

"Li Feng, what do we do now?! Yuexin is trapped inside." Li Yi spoke as she turned at his brother. But the other person was currently on the phone and motioned her to stop talking.

As the connection was established, Li Feng transformed into his business mindset and said, "Excuse me, I am…"

Du~ Du~

The other person on the other end immediately disconnected after hearing his voice. Li Feng looked down on his phone's screen and became silent.

'He hung up… on me?!' Li Feng thought furiously. He, the famous future owner of the Sky Li Corporation was rejected just like that?!

It's ridiculous! The audacity of these people!

Only then did Li Yi notice that there was an emergency phone number in front of them and guessed that this number must be of the person who was on the other side of the phone.

She snatched the phone from her brother and then dialled again. When the call went through, she swore, "Listen, you piece of shit…"

Gheow! Gheow!

Even before Li Yi could finish cursing the guards, a huge black dog came from one corner of the company and dashed towards her. Li Feng and Li Yi were shocked to see the dog which was half of their height rushing towards them with aggression.

"Ah! Ah!" Li Yi screamed in fear and ran away. Li Feng also followed her in desperation. Both of them forgot his phone and betrayed them by leaving it behind.

In the control room, the chief guard sneered as he saw these two troublemakers running away.

"Scammers!" He murmured as he drank a mouthful of water and thought, 'That new girl is in a lot of misfortune for provoking Miss Yu Ran. Speaking of Yu Ran, she has become fatter…'

The man had a lascivious expression as he recalled the hot figure of Yu Ran, a matured woman.

Ethan Han stared at his computer's screen. Watching the control room as well as the figures running in the empty front space of the company, his expression did not change. Rather his eyes moved to the room where a figure was seated on the floor, on top of some files with closed eyes.

He slowly turned off the computer and stood up. After walking for a while he stopped before the file storage room and unlocked the door.

But the figure inside the room did not move even when he stepped inside. Ethan Han bent down before Mu Yuexin and gently caressed her cheek, however, her eyes did not open.

He slowly stood up, left and kept the door ajar. When he left, Mu Yuexin suddenly fell on the floor by her side.

"Oof! My head!" Mu Yuexin rubbed the side of her head and when she saw the opened door, she excitedly stood up.

"Who is there?!" Right after walking out Mu Yuexin saw the shadow of someone leaving and thinking that this person could be the culprit, she hastily followed, and soon she lost the trail of the other person.

Mu Yuexin found the whole company deserted and the sound of her clicking against the floor was glaring. She hurriedly exited the company by the back entrance and was shocked to see someone passing by her front.

"Ahhh, Yuexin, save your sister!" Li Yi screamed as her dress was nearly bitten off by the dangerous guard dog.

Gheow! Gheow!

"..." Mu Yuexin ran behind the guard dog and grabbed it by its collar. Right after the dog calmed down, and made a whining noise.

Woof~ Woof~

Li Yi finally found her breath back as the dog became super obedient. While maintaining a considerate distance, Mu Yuexin asked with concern, "Babe, are you fine?!"

"Yes." Mu Yuexin said and then looked down at the docile dog. As she patted its head, it rubbed against her palm and showed affection.

"..." Li Yi was speechless as she saw this scene. 'This dog is a fake! It's a fake creature!'

Li Feng also came out of his hideout and while holding two branches of a tree, he headed towards Mu Yuexin. Watching his appearance which was funny, Mu Yuexin stifled her laughter.

Growl~

The smile on Mu Yuexin's face cracked as the belly did a shameful thing right in the middle and caused her endless embarrassment.

Li Yi looked at her pale face and felt desperate, "Yuexin, this company is no good for you. The staff is also bad."

"I know Li Yi but I can't back away. It can leave a stain on my resume and I don't want it." Mu Yuexin said. Also, she was sad because Han Fan neglected her when she needed him. The agreement was not supposed to be like this.

"Let's leave now. This place is not safe for us." Li Feng said as he eyed the huge doggie fearfully. Such a big dog, he did not know what the Han Corporation was actually trying to do with it!

"It was not supposed to be like this!" The chief guard woke up from his daydream and saw the trio leaving the company compound with the dog.

"They are leaving?!... No, how is the intern out?!" The guard sat on the edge of his seat and whispered, "What will I answer to Miss Yu Ran?!"

The moment the chief guard came out of its little cave, it saw its guard dog leaving with Mu Yuexin and Mu Yuexin was leaving in a super expensive car. He was shocked as he thought, 'She is rich?! Isn't she poor?!'

The man scratched his head in confusion.

The next day, Mu Yuexin stormed into the general manager's office and looked at the unbothered man. She stomped on the ground that didn't go unnoticed.

Ethan looked at her and saw a sulking lady. He smiled, "Intern? Morning?"

After gritting her teeth she took a deep breath and asked softly, "Good morning, I have a question."

"Go ahead." Ethan Han replied normally.

"Did you lock me inside that old place?!" Mu Yuexin asked with a bright smile but her glaring eyes said otherwise. Even an actress would fail in short in front of her.

"What do you think?" Ethan Han instantly lost interest and thought of leaving her alone in their conversation.

Thus for the next few minutes, he refused to talk and let her blubber like a parrot.
