54 False Accusation!

"I have to convince Ethan to let me stay, even at any cost. It's my responsibility!" Mu Yuexin thought to herself. 

She had already gotten used to that man's temper and wished it might not be hard on her to convince him.

She went back to the HR department to try her luck but along the way, many people shot her weird glances. 

It wasn't like the usual ones as they had already stopped staring with the doubt she might have any ambiguous relationship with their CEO's son aka general manager.

'Weird. What happened again?!' Mu Yuexin wondered and while she was going to enter Ethan Han's office, suddenly Tian Wei appeared beside her. 

"Wei… " Mu Yuexin stopped herself from greeting Tian Wei like a friend when the other person rolled her eyes at her. 

"Mu Yuexin, Madam Yu Ran wants you to meet her in her chamber." Tian Wei said loudly. 

"Alright." Mu Yuexin nodded and went to enter Ethan Han's office room. 

"Hey, didn't you hear me?" Tian Wei enunciated loudly. 

"I know why she is asking for me. Go back. I will go in a few minutes." Mu Yuexin said as she guessed that the woman wanted her to be scolded for failing to provide the 2000 copies of papers. 

"She can't wait and told you to meet her right away instead." Tian Wei folded her arms in front of her chest and as time went her voice got louder. 

'Why does she look like a troublemaker?!' Mu Yuexin licked her canine and glanced at the closed office door beside her. 'Well, I will come back afterward.' 

She guessed she must not let Yu Ran have an opportunity to scold her in public. 'That's why I don't like wealthy egocentric people.' Mu Yuexin thought as she followed Tian Wei.

When she faced Yu Ran, the other person smirked at her and examined Mu Yuexin's body. She made Mu Yuexin uncomfortable. 

"Is that what a thief looks like?" Yu Ran murmured loud enough for Mu Yuexin to hear. 

Mu Yuexin blinked, 'Did I hear something wrong? I don't think so…' 

Yu Ran stood up and walked away from behind her working desk. She stared at Mu Yuexin and looked at her arm which was grabbed by Ethan Han once. 

Mu Yuexin did not why she got a murderous intent from Yu Ran but she knew the other person was up to no good. 

"Well, Madam, sorry, I did not get to deliver the 2000 copies you had asked for that day. I hope the meeting went well?" Mu Yuexin spoke awkwardly as she stepped backward. 

"Now that you brought up that matter, yes, that was another crime. You could have destroyed my image in front of the CEO if it was an important meeting and I entrusted you with something really really important..." Yu Ran whispered as she went forward to Mu Yuexin and the other person also moved backwards. 

'Thank God.' Mu Yuexin heaved a sigh of relief when she realized she did not do anything crucial.

However, her eyes widened when Yu Ran suddenly raised her hand and tried to wave it towards her face. 

Having past experience, Mu Yuexin's body moved on its own and bent down and moved away. Yet someone wasn't as flexible as hers. 

Slap!

Both Tian Wei and Yu Ran were stunned and stared at each other. Tian Wei touched her cheek which had a glaring mark of fingers and the cheek was burning with pain. 

Yu Ran was dumbfounded when she missed her initial target, Mu Yuexin. She glared at Mu Yuexin who was staring at her from the side with a blank expression.

"Madam Yu, if I remember correctly, I don't work for you, nor do you have the authority to use any kind of physical assault on me. By trying to slap me, have you perhaps wanted to humiliate my Boss, Sir Ethan?" 

Yu Ran was enraged by Mu Yuexin's words. But it was true that even though Mu Yuexin was arranged by the company, she was still Ethan Han's assistant. And on top of that she could possibly be Han Boyaung's informant. 

Mu Yuexin smiled deeply as she saw Yu Ran's pale face. 

"Madam, from next time, if you call for me regarding another assault, please wait to get summoned by the police station." Mu Yuexin bowed at Yu Ran and turned around to leave. 

Tian Wei stared at Mu Yuexin in shock because all over her time with Mu Yuexin in their college, she barely saw this side of hers. 

As Mu Yuexin was going to step out, Yu Ran spoke behind her.

"Mu Yuexin, do you think your Boss or anyone in the company will defend you or stay by your side when they know you are a thief?!" 

"Madam, please have some self respect. Don't throw dirt at anyone without any validity of your own words." Mu Yuexin turned around and said which was trying to break. She really wanted to know this woman was hostile to her from day one. 

"Criminals sure know how to find their way with words." Yu Ran sneered at Mu Yuexin and threw a bunch of photos at her. The photos without a doubt fell on the ground.

Mu Yuexin glanced at it and saw herself beside the printer from another department. She glanced at Yu Ran and asked in doubt, "What?" 

"Don't pretend…" Yu Ran smirked as if she knew Mu Yuexin was trying to appear dumbbon purpose.

"You have to explain to me what this photo had to do with anything of me being a thief!" Mu Yuexin felt she could no longer feign to be modest or reasonable in front of this high and great looking superior.

"An important file went missing from the CEO Secretariat. They were kind enough not to come straight to our place to interrogate you! From the CCTV footage, it was clear the thief was you!" Yu Ran said as pointed her finger at Mu Yuexin.

Mu Yuexin's eyes widened and she couldn't help but look lost as she exclaimed, "I went there to use their printers for copying the 2000 copies you wanted!"

"2000 copies? What are you talking about?  I didn't find any copies on my desk as per instructions!" Yu Ran shouted. 

"That's because…" Mu Yuexin grabbed her face. If she had to start, then more questions would arise and it would be unfavorable for her if Ethan discovers her existence in Rei city!

"You better come with me to the CEO Secretariat and apologize to them! Also give them back the papers!" Yu Ran went ahead and held Mu Yuexin's hand in an iron grip. 

Mu Yuexin shook her hand and said, "I did not steal anything!"

"That, you better explain to the secretaries or, you will be in great trouble!" Yu Ran smirked at Mu Yuexin and yelled, "Get out!"
