< Stupid, >
'Fine,'
Wen looked behind himself, seeing hundreds of people behind him already.
"Hey, sir, can you save my spot in line for me?"
The man who was talking about him earlier instantly paid attention.
"O-of course I can young sir,"
Wen walked away from the long line, "People sure are nice in this world,"
After changing into a casual robe, Wen calmly walked back into the line.
"Oy! Who the hell do you think you are, cutting the line!"
"Move to the back asshole!"
"I already have a place in line," Wen calmly responded, walking back to his place, ignoring them.
"Thanks for saving my spot," Wen thanked the man.
the man paused for a bit, thinking about a reward. 'Eh, is this guy really a noble? Why is he dressed in that? Tsk, I've made a fool of myself,'
Oblivious to the man's thoughts, Wen unsheathed his rapier and started practicing The Sword of Light.
[ First Skill, Strike of Light ]
A large amount of qi and a loud sound could be felt for a 10-meter distance as a bright thin beam of light traveled at a high speed.
"Damn it, I lost my balance,"
However, Wen's arm had only moved as much as 5 inches.
'I need to steady myself, I only used a small amount of Qi but moved this much,' Wen thought to himself.
'What the f*uck?' The man who was standing behind Wen let out a flabbergasted expression.
'How is someone only at the 8th Spirit Refinement able to let out so much Qi without passing out!?'

After a long and tedious hour, it was finally time for Wen's entry exam.
"Junior, please take your exam that way," The female disciple pointed to the left.
"Thank you," Wen casually walked away from the dumbfounded man.
'Why would he practice the whole time? He must have an abnormal amount of stamina!'
Wen walked over to a man who wore a dark blue robe that resembled the Divine Sword sect. He had a blue sash on his waist, meaning he was a sect elder.
"Young man, place your hands on the first totem, it'll reveal your age and cultivation. If your age is 31 or over, you cannot pass. If your cultivation is under than 1st Spirit Refinement Stage, you also cannot pass."
Wen nodded and placed his hands on the totem.
A number 17 appeared, alongside Wen's cultivation base, which was the 8th Spirit Refinement.
"You pass. Place your hands on the next totem, it'll reveal your potential. If it glows a red, orange, or yellow, you do not pass."
Wen once again nodded and placed his hands on the totem.
A few seconds later, the totem lit up.
"A-a p-purple, q-q-quite impressive. B-but, you have not passed yet. P-please follow Talen there,"
The elder nodded towards a boy who looked around 16.
The boy, Talen, nodded. "Follow me, you'll be sparring with someone based on your cultivation base," The boy had dark blue eyes and jet black hair similar to Wen's. He had a green sash on his waist, meaning he was an inner disciple.
Talen handed Wen a purple badge, representing Wen's potential.
"That badge is only temporary, trash it later, we don't want potential disciples to be competitive about them."
Soon after, they both arrived at a large arena.
The first thing Wen saw was-
"3, 2, 1, Start!"
A young man dressed in a robe with a green waist sash seemed to be fighting against a female who surprisingly seemed to be around 15.
"As you can see, the woman's cultivation is at the 5th Golden Core stage so she is fighting against someone with the same cultivation as her. This battle is not about cultivation, it's about your sword skills and how well you can use Qi."
Wen nodded, this was a sword sect after all, of course, there would be a test about your sword knowledge.
"Even if your potential for cultivation is high, if you don't have any talent in using swords, we cannot accept you,"
The young man stayed in his position, waiting for the other to attack. The girl lunged forwards. The man skillfully lifted his sword in a way to easily block and go for a counterattack, aiming for the girl's chest.
The girl quickly retracted her sword and blocked the man's counterattack. After the girl began scooting back, the man slowly walked forwards, getting ready for another attack.
The girl also walked forwards. She then lifted her sword horizontally, aiming for the man's waist.
Getting ready for the attack, the man quickly launched himself forwards, aiming at the girl's throat while his sword was lifted horizontally.
Clearly shocked, she didn't know what to do and canceled her attack to block the man's attack.
'Wrong decision,' Wen and the other more experienced sword people thought.
The man now had is a sword hanging right before the girl's neck.
Another elder stood up from where she was sitting.
"You're in, you'll be an outer disciple for now, due to your cultivation base,"
The girl was handed a red sash before she was led away deeper in the Divine Sword sect.
The elder pointed at Wen, "Your turn. Also, when the Sect Master comes, you'll have to take off your mask to show respect. However, you can ask the Sect Master to change things up,"
Wen frowned, "I haven't been accepted yet,"
"You're accepted, but you'll still have to spar so we'll pick if you're an outer, inner, or core disciple,"
"Oh alright, who do I spar against?"
"You'll be sparring with me," Talen spoke.
