Anomaly testing 049

Sometime during the early morning hours, SCP-GU411 is awoken by the sound of wheezing outside his door. He slowly gets out of bed and walks to the door with a drowsy, angered expression. He opens the door with the full intention of grabbing SCP-303 and pulling him inside, but instead, he is met by a skinny clay red hand, peeking from out of sight, holding a full cup of coffee.

The rebar club taps against the wall questioningly.

"No SCP-173-1, SCP-303 is just bringing me a peaceful gift. Two sugars, three creamers?" SCP-GU411 asks.

The cup slowly rises and lowers to confirm this question.

SCP-GU411 reaches out and gently removes the cup from SCP-303's hand. "Thank you. Likewise, I am sorry for kicking the door out the other day. It must have scared you."

SCP-303 waves his hand as if saying it was a small misunderstanding. He then gives a thumbs-up as if asking if things between them were settled.

"Yes. Again, thank you. And you are welcome to come back anytime." SCP-GU411 replies.

SCP-303 then shakes the thumbs-up sign before disappearing.

SCP-GU411 sighs. "I really misjudged that SCP. I thought he was a simple prankster, but seems he is actually a nice guy." He sips on the hot coffee, greatly enjoying the taste.

The rebar club again taps against the wall.

"Are you actually attempting to communicate, or are you just trying to escape?" SCP-GU411 growls, his back turned to the club.

The rebar club remains still, unsure of how to answer.

SCP-GU411 sighs. "One tap for communication, two for escape."

The club responds with one tap.

"OH! I bet you overheard my plans to tame SCP-682!"

The club taps excitedly.

"Yes. You are indeed part of that 'worst-case scenario' plan."

The club jumps up and down.

A roar shakes the floor beneath them.

SCP-GU411 grins. "Don't be so impatient you two. All things in due time." He then puts on his radio.

"SCP-GU411, please proceed to test observation room 3-C and await briefing." A male voice orders.

SCP-GU411 groans before responding. "10/4."

Heading out the door, the club taps on the wall.

"Remain here and do not move. I do not need anyone questioning why my rebar club can move on its own!" He says before shutting the door and locking it. He then heads straight to room 3-C following his memory.

Upon entering, he comes face to face with SCP-049. SCP-GU411 jumps back in surprise, preparing to defend himself, as SCP-049 quickly raises his hands.

"Calm, friend, calm. I was escorted here by the guards." SCP-049 calmly states.

A researcher quickly enters the room. "SCP-GU411! Wait! We called him in to perform and oversee your testing!"

SCP-GU411 relaxes, outstretching his hand to SCP-049. "I apologize for the hostile response. Your file may not be up to date."

The researcher chuckles nervously. "Yea.. I meant to update that some time ago. My bad!"

SCP-049 looks down at his hand and then back up with a slight chuckle. "They did say you would be forward. I have not properly shaken hands with anyone till today." He takes SCP-GU411's hand, nothing happens. SCP-049 cocks his head slightly. "Fascinating! You are indeed immune to my death touch." He then turns to the researcher. "Does this mean I can forgo the lead-lined gloves and apron?!"

The researcher shakes his head. "It is regulation for any surgery you perform, SCP-049."

SCP-049 shrugs with a sigh. "Such a pain, but regulations must be followed." He then releases SCP-GU411 hand. "My apologies, good man. Allow me to explain. About a year ago we discovered my death touch could be surprised by lead-lined material. Ever since, I have been studying the more modern surgical practices, under the watchful eyes of my personal researcher..." Motioning to the researcher in the room with them. "And the facility doctors." He motions to the window overlooking the room. SCP-049 stands proudly. "Thus far, I have had a 100% success on all surgeries performed." He leans closer and whispers to SCP-GU411. "That means all my subjects survived and did not turn into undead."

SCP-GU411 smiles nervously. "I am very pleased to hear you are making a good name for yourself. However, surgery is part of my anomalous testing?!"

SCP-049 dramatically outstretches his arms. "Indeed! Open you up and see what makes you tick!" He turns and begins laying out his tools. "Perhaps it is a crystal from another planet, some parasite..." He looks back over his shoulder with a chuckle. "Or maybe you are actually an alien, yourself! How exciting!"

SCP-GU411 chuckles. "No. I am 100% homegrown human."

SCP-049's eyes glisten. "'Homegrown', you say? I have never heard of a plant human before!"

The researcher sighs. "It is a figure of speech, SCP-049. He is referring to the process in which a baby has grown inside a human woman."

SCP-049 turns back to his tools unhappily. "Oh.. I see. How dull."

The researcher motions to an operating table. "Please lay here. Anesthesia will be administered shortly."

"I don't suppose an explanation is next?" SCP-GU411 asks while laying down.

"Indeed!" SCP-049 exclaims, whipping around holding a surgical knife. "The researchers have seen your strength and invulnerability in action, but they question if the same would occur while under anesthesia, AKA unconscious." He looks up at the knife and quickly hides it behind his back with a nervous chuckle. "Mind you, I am only supposed to ascertain whether you will produce a small amount of blood."

SCP-GU411 takes a deep breath. "Go for it."

SCP-049 dawns his lead-lined gloves and apron, reaching for the anesthesia, placing it over SCP-GU411's face. "Breath heavily, I promise this will not take very long."

SCP-GU411 does as instructed and falls quickly asleep.

SCP-049 quickly takes a note in a nearby leather-bound book. "Anesthesia successful on subject." He says as he writes. He then readies his scalpel, with shinning excitement in his eyes. "Time to cut!"

He brings down the scalpel but stops inches from SCP-GU411's arm.

"What is wrong, SCP-049?" The researcher asks.

SCP-049 presses against the scalpel. "Something is impeding me from making contact with the subject's skin." He grunts, putting both his hands behind the scalpel and trying to force it down. "It.. will.. not.. move!"

The researcher looks over at the table. "Try the automatic bone saw."

SCP-049 pulls back, bringing the scalpel with him, and throws it on the table. "Yes! The bone saw!" He snatches it up, eyeing it happily. "Oh! How I have looked forward to this day!"

"Proceed, SCP-049!" The researcher commands with an air of annoyance.

SCP-049 clears his throat and composes himself. "Yes, apologies." He turns the saw on and brings it down quickly towards SCP-GU411's arm.

Again, an invisible force stops the saw's descent and jams the chain from moving.

"Impossible!" SCP-049 growls. "I will not have my dream impeded by some phantom!!" He raises the saw once more, the blade begins spinning faster than before as he brings it down with all his strength. "I shall have blood this day!!!"

This time, SCP-049 is thrown back, knocking over the surgical tool table as he flies across the room.

SCP-049 quickly rases up. "Bastard!!"

"Stand down, SCP-049! The next phase begins now." The researcher commands. "Let the officer enter." He says into the radio.

The door opens and in steps an officer carrying a rifle and sidearm.

SCP-049 slowly stands and fetches his notebook, furiously writing notes.

"Take aim at the subject's head and fire." The researcher orders.

The officer lays down his rifle and produces his handgun, aiming it at SCP-GU411's head. He fires the weapon.

Immediately after discharge, the bullet is seen spinning in mid-air, inches from SCP-GU411's face.

"Amazing!" SCP-049 laughs as he continues writing.

"Next, use your automatic rifle. Empty the magazine into his entire body." The researcher orders.

The office holsters his handgun and raises the rifle, taking a few steps back. He then pulls the trigger as the rifle rapidly fires 50 rounds at SCP-GU411.

Again, the bullets are seen spinning in mid-air inches from SCP-GU411's body.

SCP-049 laughs unstably. "He is untouchable!"

SCP-GU411's eyes open, with a groan. "Are we done yet?"

The bullets stop spinning and fall to the ground as if sliding off an umbrella.

The researcher and the officer both take a step back.

"Ye.. yes. We are finished with this testing event." The researcher nervously answers.

SCP-049 continues to silently laugh and speak to himself. "Aura.. it must be the aura. Powerful! Alien.. I think he is definitely an alien."

SCP-GU411 slowly rises and looks down at the bullets on the floor. "I take it you were unable to draw blood?"

"Some invisible force protected you!" SCP-049 replies excitedly, still furiously taking notes.

"No hard feeling, Rocky!" The officer waves his hand nervously.

"No worries." SCP-GU411 replies, tilting his head in the direction of SCP-049, speaking to the researcher. "What is up with the alien obsession?"

The researcher laughs nervously. "The facility doctors often watch science fiction shows while performing surgeries. Regrettably, they have pulled SCP-049 into their.. syfy club."

SCP-GU411 rolls his eyes. "I see. Well, to each their own." He jumps off the table.

"We meet every Wednesday and Saturday!" SCP-049 adds.

"I will keep that in mind.." SCP-GU411 says, not turning back to look at him. "If there will be nothing else..."

"Oh! Yes! You are dismissed. Thank you, SCP-GU411." The researcher quickly responds.

SCP-GU411 groans as he exits.

Once SCP-GU411 is out of sight, the researcher turns to SCP-049. "SCP-049, what are your findings?" The researcher asks.

SCP-049 looks up with a smile. "The invisible entity indeed originates from SCP-GU411. If it is his 'willpower', as he has stated before, then my conclusion is that his aura is sentient and shielding him from harm. Otherwise, I am not willing to rule out an electromagnetic force field."

The researcher looks up to see one of the 05 council leering down at them. "Further testing is required."

The shadowy figure nods.

Back in the hallway, SCP-GU411 walks towards his room. He walks slowly, slightly hunched over. Upon reaching his room, he sees a crew renovating it. He quickly peeks inside to check on SCP-173-1, and to his relief, sees it sitting right where he left it.

"Good job, keep up the good work." He whispers. He then turns to the crew. "About how much longer might you be?"

"All day, brother." The foreman responds.

SCP-GU411 groans and continues down the hall to Iris' room and knocks on the door.

Iris answers the door in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. "Oh! Rocky. Are you okay?"

SCP-GU411 stands uneasily. "Well, my first test is complete. May I come in?"

"Yes! Yes. Please come in." Iris moves aside so he can enter.

Entering, SCP-GU411 spots a couch and falls onto it.

"That rough huh?" Iris asks.

"No. They just had SCP-049 administer anesthesia and it has not worn off yet." SCP-GU411 replies sleepily.

"Anesthesia?! Whatever for?" Iris asks, sitting across from him.

SCP-GU411's eyes roll back in his head. "Originally they intended to see if I was vulnerable while unconscious, but I imagine they took it a step further since I woke up to bullets on the floor."

Iris quickly stands, lifting his arms and also examining his face and chest. "It does not appear they managed to do any harm."

"I take it I am not the first this specific test was performed on?" SCP-GU411 groans.

Iris sits on the floor, her legs folded underneath her. "No. They did the same test with.. Abel."

"Oh yeah! I almost.. forgot.. needed.. clearance.. see him." SCP-GU411 struggles to say before falling back asleep.

"Go see Abel?" Iris looks puzzled. "What for?!"

"Save.. world." SCP-GU411 begins talking in his sleep.

Iris sits up, leaning over him. "Tell me more."
