Lock [2]

--August Pov--

Today was my Second day in Lock, I got up early in the morning and went to the training facility and trained with my spear for two hours before the classes start. After that I came back to my room, took a shower and started heading out towards my classroom which was 10 minutes away from here. While heading out I spotted Ren going towards the class as well. I went up to him and said "Hey" .

Ren replied to me with a " Hi " as well. We started walking towards class together talking about miscellaneous things such as different subjects and other stuff. I guess I made a friend out of Ren but well man he was a bigger trouble magnet than others. In the novel he tried to stay away from troubles and after that he got in so many troubles.

Imagine what would happen if he didn't try to stay away from all those troubles. After reaching the classroom we seated ourselves on the same seats as yesterday. Soon the class started and to be honest everything was going above my head. I turned my head around to see how was Ren doing and from the looks of it, he wasn't doing well. I was happy to know this because now I wasn't the only one who didn't understand a thing.

After two long hours the class finally got over. It was time for some training so me and Ren started moving towards the training room together. When we reached there it was mostly empty. Hardly anyone was using it I guess it was because of most of the students were enjoying with their friends or maybe too tired to train on the second day.

Me and Ren took a area in the corner and started training. Performing the same move continuously was really hard. My hands started getting sore and it felt like they will fall off any moment. But someone was more monstrous than me. It was Ren, he was sheathing and unsheathing his sword at a crazy speed and he didn't even seemed tired. And that keike style of his was something on another level. After a while I heard a noise in the distance and when I looked around I saw Kevin fighting 3 dummies as if they were nothing. The way he moved left like it came straight out of someone's fantasy.

Well I shouldn't compare myself with these two monsters at all, they were on a completely different level than me. After a while the door opened and our class teacher Donna entered. She said something to Kevin after which he started heading towards the gravity room.

After that she came to us and asked Ren why is he wasting his time sheathing and unsheathing the sword. Ren gave the lamest excuse someone could give. It made it so hard to control my laugh and my face turned red because of no oxygen. After that she turned towards me and said to perform other moves of the spear as performing one move won't change a thing. Now it was Ren turns to control his laugh because I actually defeated Ren in making the lamest excuse. I told Donna that I liked this move so I am practicing it.

This made Donna very angry but she didn't say a thing and exited the training room. But I know one thing for sure I was added on Donna's blacklist alongside Ren.

This process of attending classes and training with Ren went on for days. Me and Ren have become really good friends during this time. I tried to prank Ren once by scaring him, but when I tried it I was met with a blank of his face that said " what are you trying to do joker".

But the biggest problem I had encountered till now was that I told Ren that I was practicing a 5 stars art. When he heard what I said he was shocked. Well there was no use in hiding it since he would have known about it sooner or later. He started asking me questions about what kind of art was it. I told him it was cyromancy and he was had his mouth wide open for the next five minutes.

The next day he told me about keike style of his as well, now we both know that the other was practicing a 5 star arts. This made our friendship stronger than ever and we started sparing together. Having nothing to hide we started fighting each other without holding back. Once I froze him to win against him and he caught a cold the other day. To take revenge on me he literally sliced my clothes into bits while sparring once, while coming out of training room I felt like I was some beggar.

Heck even beggar clothes would have been better at that moment compared to mine.

Ren's Pov

Few days ago August told me that he was practising a 5 star art. I was very shocked to hear this information as there was no one who used a 5 star art in the lock except Kevin in the original novel. Since August was an anomaly whose fate I couldn't change with the help of book, I decided to know more about this art of his and tell him about keike style as I needed someone whom I could trust alongside me. Thus I came to know about his cyromancy and to be honest it was a rigged ability. When he gets stronger he could literally freeze the demons to death, make ice walls for defense and attack using a million spears. His ability could defend and attack at the same time it was very versatile.

And that prank of his was so bad, even a four year child could have done better than him and that excuse he made to Donna about practising single move made me laugh so hard.

August's Pov

I was meditating in the garden when I started sneezing, seems like someone is remembering me. Putting these aside for now I started meditating again.
