Caught in Misunderstanding Again?

A month passed, like nothing happened. They never encounter each other inside the school and came back to their normal lives as usual, but his fan girls don't stop to harass her online or in private message and calls. The only time they saw each other was inside the coffee shop where Molly own. Both of them works as a part-timer. They didn't talk unless it's necessary for work or Molly is around, but the rest they treat each other as a stranger.

Nothing happens. It made Kinrue lower down her guard. Until an announcement came about their home economics subject. Both Class 11-A and Class 11-B will merge since the Class 11-B teacher is on her maternal leave. The subject they are going to do is cooking class. Besides, on a fact she's not good at it, the thought she'll meet him every day is out of the sight. A month of brief silence might turn a ruckus again.

They are all inside the cooking lab waiting for the teacher to come. All Class 11-A are on the right side while Class 11-B is on the left side. Like always, Kinrue is with Camie and Ashley in the corner. She tries to avoid his gaze, but indeed, without looking, all those people inside stares at them.

"What are you doing Rue? Hides to your boyfr—" she covers Camie's mouth before the words get finished.

"Stop it Camie, I don't want any more attention. I'm tired of it."

"You're the one who looks bothered. Did you see him not even gazing in your direction? Instead, he talks to the woman next to him. How rude." Ashley utter, but she only gives a force smile. She can't tell the truth even to her friend. It's the first time she hides something from them on purpose.

She shrugs her head and looks around instead. The cooking club is wide, it contains two room got merge, there's even a proper distance in each kitchen area with their own stove, kitchen utensils, sink to wash and more. Lunaris High proves once again it's a rich school. After a few minutes, the home economics teacher who will look after them came. They all become silent and look in front to greet the teacher.

"Good morning class, I'm Pacita Morales, your homeroom teacher, until this year ends. Since, I'm holding a two sections instead of by pair... I divided you into three-person groups." She explained. "This merge class has 60 students so, we will create 20 groups. I have a list on my own so, when I call your name just go to your respected places. There's a number on each kitchen area pasted on the table."

No one tries to react about the groupings so, Mrs. Morales call the group's name. Kinrue, on the corner, wish to all gods and goddesses to not be in the same group of Raven. Anyone can do, but not him.

Few more minutes came, Camie and Ashley has been called earlier with different group. She's not called yet and there's a half of them on the back. Another set has been called out, but she's not on it again. She has a cold sweat, her heart is thumping in nervous and both hands still clasped together.

"Group 12, Ms. Haruna, Ms. Cienfuegos and Mr. Palmes." Both eyes glimmers in excitement when she heard her name, but not his. She strides to the kitchen area number 12, which is on the left side, second to the front. "Ah... I'm sorry, it's not Mr. Palmes... Sorry, it's a mistake. Mr. Palmes is in Group 13 and Mr. Auclair is in Group 12,"

She freezes on what Mrs. Morales utters. It seems like the man's name echo on her ears again and again, non-stop. They heard a murmur around the lab and the ominous stare from his fan girls. In a few seconds, she felt someone came beside her. She looks at him, but turn away as soon as he saw him frown.

"It will be your group until the end of the year. Better know each other." She said. "Today, you're going to cook an omelette rice. All the ingredients needed are in front of you. All of you have 2 hours to finish it. I'll grade it based on the taste and how you plate it. Starts now."

Kinrue look to all the ingredients in front of them. There's too many, and she doesn't even know some of it. No one from them moves a bit—seems feeling on each other. Thinks hard who'll move first. It's a literal awkward silent.

"I-I guess this dish is one of the basic, shall we prepare the ingredients? I'll cook the rice." Arisa broke the silence. She grabs the short grain rice and prepares the rice cooker.

"Don't just stand there and prepare the other ingredients. I'll make the sauce so, cut the onions, mushroom and ham. Wash the mushroom and onions first before you cut it, dry the mushroom before you cut it. You can do it right?" He said in a sarcastic tone.

"O-of course I can. Who do you think I am? A brat who doesn't know to do a simple thing? Tsk." She bumps into him and gets the mushroom and onions to wash it.

After she dry the mushroom with a dry clean towel, she looks on her right side where Raven and Arisa prepare the sauce and the egg. She sigh, turns her look towards those knives, but there's a different type of it, she doesn't know what to use. Without words or thinking twice, she gets what looks fine and is about to slice the onions, but a hand to stop her.

"It's a bread knife. Use this one." Arisa mumble with a smile on her face.

"O-oh, I-I k-know..." She force a laugh and get the knife.

She slices the onion into a thin slice.

"N-no, you shouldn't slice it like that. It should be a thin dice cut."

"A-ah... I see. I'm used to cut the onions like this."

"If you don't know how to cook, just tell us I can cover for you." She flinch on those words. Lost her focus on what she was cutting in front, it made a cut on her index finger. "O-oh, t-tissue. I-it's bleeding. I'll get a tissu—"

"What the hell are you doing?" Someone grab her hand, put a clean handkerchief around her hand to stop the bleeding. "It's just a slight cut. Don't do something. Don't pretend you know how to cook when the truth is not. Move aside,"

She looks down when Raven gives him a warning stare. It's not like she doesn't know how to cut those onions, it just like those words Arisa mumble distract her. However, all she can do was watch those two do everything, it made her irritated. He didn't ignore the woman and talks to her casually. She even heard them laugh together, which is new. She bites her lower lip and looks away. Instead of distracting herself, she heard a sarcastic laugh from those students near them.

"E-excuse me ma'am," she raise her hand that catch their attention.

"What is it, Ms. Cienfuegos? Do you have any problem?"

"I have a stomachache. Can I go to the clinic?"

"Isn't it just an excuse to escape from this subject? There are many students I encounter with the same excuse."

"Ma'am, I'm serious."

"Tsk. Go ahead."

"A-ah... One more thing, don't give me a grade for this activity since I didn't do the assigned work for me. I'll go ahead ma'am."

She didn't look at them and walk towards the back door. A deep sigh escape her mouth as soon as she left. No one is in the hallway since its still class hour, but this peace feels new to her. There's nowhere she can go here without Camie and Ashley so, she heads straight to the clinic and lied about her stomachache. In contrast, the nurse let her rest inside until it subsides.

After an hour, she didn't notice that she fall asleep because of the silence and pleasant atmosphere inside. However, it doesn't last long since. She felt someone's hands on her ear. She tries to slap it away, but it always came back like a magnet.

"Argh! What the hell? Let me sleep!" She shouts in annoyance before sitting.

Her eyes widen when she locked eyes with the person who sit beside her. It's Raven Auclair, who gazes at her with an intense look.

"You show some childish attitude and run here to sleep? What do you think you're doing?" He said.

She forces a laugh. "What are you saying? Did I ever act childish? Besides, I didn't run to sleep. It's just like I fall asleep."

"Those words you said are a childish act. Why don't you accept the kindness of others? You let Arisa feels bad about it,"

"You came here just to say those words? Unbelievable. Get out of my sight. I'm not in the mood to see your damn annoying face." She glare to him.

"Apologize to her and change your group if you dare to do so. It's uncomfortable with you around." He stands up without looking back at her.

Kinrue clenches both fists in anger as she watches him make a step outside the clinic. After three steps, without thinking right, she grabs the left hand of Raven and pulls him back.

"What are you doing, elf? Let go of my hand."

"Let me clear you something, sh*t head. I never kneel on my knees and beg for forgiveness, whatever it takes. It's the last thing I will ever do so, don't tell me what to do." She grabs the collar of his uniform that shock him. He's about to push her away, but Kinrue use all her strength and pulls him closer instead as their lips touch to annoy him.

He felt his hand tighten the grip on her arms. She smirk and bite his lower lip instead.

"It looks like no one is on the last bed. Let's rest there until the nurse came back."

"Oka—"

The curtain surrounds the bed open. Kinrue's eyes almost came out when she saw the Student Council President, Larisa Chien and the President of the photography club. She's about to let go of him, but he seems in the middle of his revenge and deepened the kiss before she bite her lower lips too. A continuous flash of camera make them came back to senses and push each other while catching their breath.

"A-argh!"
