Exact 7 o'clock in the morning, both Class 11-A and Class 11-B are all inside present in volleyball club gym which is next to basketball gym. Class 11-B gathered on the left side benches while Class 11-A is on the right. Since the class start the two sections have been a rival until now. Like any other day, the Lunaris Prince and Princess are still their center of attention, but Callie Leroux is also present, sitting next to Raven. This is the reason Kinrue's mood is on alert mode.
She heard some of her classmates talks about how beautiful and perfect Callie, Raven and she can make a good couple and Shenrue is nothing to be compared about. Those conversation triggers her patience and can't help but frown. Kinrue is sitting on the first row bench beside her are Camie and Ashley, who are staring at the group too.
"Rue, don't you think Callie is too close to him?" Camie asked. She's wearing a P.E. uniform, but she folded the left side of pants up to her knee and the other one is not. Her left hand also leans to Kinrue's shoulder.
"Camie is right, but Raven seems enjoying it. He's a cheater." Ashley nod her head. Out of the three of them, she's the only one who wears the P.E. uniform right. Kinrue on the other side had both the helms of her pants folded below the knees.
"It's good,"
"What?!!" they both shouted in surprise.
"Good? Since when is it good to cheat and worst on front of his girlfriend?" Ashley asked.
"Are you crazy?"
"Don't misunderstand me. It's good that I'm here. I can watch over them, right?"
The two look at her in doubt, but she just smile and pat both heads to reassure everything is fine.
After a few more minutes, both their P.E. teachers came and discuss the activity they'll going to do for this day. Since they are in a volleyball gym rather than basketball, it means they connected the activity to volleyball.
Mr. Paco told them that for today, they'll going to learn the basic moves in volleyball like spiking, receiving and setting the ball with the help of Volleyball Team Club, who are available. There are four people behind them, which is in 12th grade, like Callie, including their team captain. In the middle of discussing the rules and process of the activity, Kinrue's face turns gloom. She just finishes helping Lorcan to train and feel exhausted, but here is another sport again.
"Okay, these two men behind me, along with Mr. Auclair, will get assigned to Class 11-B, so follow whatever they instruct you to do." Mr. Paco said.
"In Class 11-A, the other two and Mr. Yuzan will assist." Mr. Miller said.
"Ms. Leroux will watch over for your mistakes since she knows a lot of rules in this sport. I hope all of you cooperate with each other without injury. Next meeting we're going to play a volleyball against Class 11-A and Class 11-B. We'll choose the top 6 students who excel and do their designated job for men and women, so take this seriously. The section who'll win is all exempted from the upcoming midterm. Good luck students,"
The students whisper on each other and get overwhelmed by the thought of being exempted to midterm. Despite of the good news there's a three people, who's in a full gloom mode. It's Kinrue's group. Camie and Ashley love to watch every play of volleyball club tournament but they don't want to play while Kinrue doesn't like the sport.
They divided the entire court into two and set-up a volleyball net. Left side is for Class 11-A and right side is for Class 11-B. Two of the volleyball team members came back pushing two pushcarts with volleyball balls, headed straight to their assigned section. Before the activity starts, for their safety, they do some warm-up exercise. Many students hated doing this, but the teachers are watching over them and there's a strict student instructor in front.
After some warm-up, they give an example of what they need to do, step by step and the approach when spiking a ball. Both classes are in serious mode, acting competitive, not minding each other business anymore. In Class 11-B, Raven roles is a setter, the team captain is a spiker and the other one is passing the ball. The first lesson they need to learn is spiking, which is the basic move. After passing the ball to the setter, the setter will toss it to the spiker. They need to spike the ball inside the line on the other side.
Everything went well on the boy's side. They made a mistake but the team captain corrects it on the spot and lets them take turn for three times before they call out for girls to line up. Kinrue's about to push the others in front, but the team captain calls her.
"Hey, the small one. You, the one in a half pigtail and glasses."
Kinrue stop from walking and looks at him with annoyance. "Excuse me, Mr. Team Captain, you're rude."
An awkward silence made their side silence. Everyone becomes speechless because of her boldness. Even both her friends face palm themselves. They thought Kinrue's attitude change a lot, but this temperament explosion was out of the blue.
"O-oh..."
"Captain, please don't speak to her anymore. She'll just be a natural short tempered and there's nothing inside her head, so let it be," Raven said in embarrassment. It made Kinrue look glare at him, almost grit her teeth.
"Kinrue, you're the one who's rude. How can you not respect a person older than you? Besides, there's nothing wrong with what he said," one of her girl classmate behind said.
"Correct. You're short. Can you even jump higher?"
The rest of them laugh that catches other students' attention. It made her more furious and eager to smash each of their faces to brush off those insulting smiles.
"Can you spike the ball on the other side? I believe you can't."
"Tsk. If you try to stand on the other side and be my target, then I'm willing to smash your ugly, filthy clown face."
"Huh? What did you just say?"
"H-hey, girls..." The team captain looks flustered because of the sudden outburst of emotion.
"You want me to repeat it because you can't believe? Fine. I said you're a f*cking ugly, filthy clown face,"
"Y-you brat."
"Do you want to fight me? Come on, come over here if you can." She couldn't finish the words when someone grab her wrist and force to face in front. "What the hell are you doing? Let go of me, sh*thead!"
She resists on her grip but Raven holds tight on her arms to force her not to look back again.
"Let go of you and make a scene? You have some unbelievable use of words, elf. Why don't you use it through this activity and smash them with action than words?" After hearing what he said, she stop from resisting and look at him with doubt.
"Are you manipulating me through words?" She asked. It made his jaw drop in disbelief.
"Wow, how bizarre your mind can be?" He said.
A silence came between, they only stare at each other.
"Fine. Let's have a deal, empty head."
"Deal?"
"If you become one of the team player in your section, then I'll let you boss me around for a day, but if you can't, I'll be the one bossing you around."
A chuckle escape from Kinrue's mouth. "Okay, deal."
"Behave yourself and be a good girl," he whispers in her right ear. It made her jolted out, but Raven let go of her arms and walk back to his position.
"I'm not a good girl, sh*thead, give me the ball."
The rest of the student present here left dumbfounded even his teammate. It's the first time they saw Kinrue let her target off and get blinded by a deal instead. Camie and Ashley couldn't help but look back and forth at them. There's a distinct atmosphere lurking around the two. They don't know if they get along or not.
In the middle of their thoughts, they all gasp when a loud slam sound came. Even the team captain's eyes widened as he saw Kinrue jump high and spike the ball and hit down the line in a flash of light. After passing the ball to Raven, he tosses it over the net as Kinrue jump and spike it. On the other side, the Class 11-A couldn't help but watch the scene. The teachers watching are in shock too.
"How's my spike Mr. Auclair? Even though I don't like of volleyball, my body is different." Kinrue breaks the silence, grin towards him.
"You can jump high despite of your height. The timing is perfect and you have control over your strength." She frown when Callie came behind Raven with a smile. "She's an interesting one. Am I right, Raven?"
The tension arises between their gazes as if there's a two tigers fighting for their territory.
"It can be a coincidence. Maybe you can't do it again." Callie said with a smile that made her look more serious.
"Why does everyone here keep pestering me? If you don't want me to cause any trouble, then don't search for one," Kinrue said out of frustration. She steps forward towards them. It made Raven step in between. They stare at each other as if their eyes can understand it.
"Enough with this issue. Go line in the back again. Do you understand?" Raven softened his voice, but she didn't move an inch. "Kinrue..."
"Tsk. I didn't even start it. Why am I am the one who always receives your scolding? This f*cking woman came here to insult me. Why let her and stop me?" She said, shouting out of her lungs. The teacher came over to stop them, but Raven give a sign they don't need to come.
"You're a troublesome and she's not."
"Troublesome here and there, what the f*ck?!! I will not make trouble if no one causes me trouble."
"Excuse me, I didn't intend to insult you. You misunderstand what I mean," Callie said in between their conversation. She's about to step forward, but Raven stops her again.
"Kinrue." He warns her.
"Argh! What the hell? You're pissing me off sh*thead, don't show that you're too biased to her."
"I'm not biased,"
"Yes, you are. I hate this, our deal is over, so do what the hell do you want to do and get out of my f*cking sight! Don't give me a grade, I don't care! You're all making me mad. D*mn assh*le!" She pushes Raven hard and walks out without looking back on a rage mode. Camie and Ashley try to call her, but she's mad to hear it.
"Argh! What a strong stubborn elf," Raven mumbles to himself, staring where Kinrue leave.
"Raven, are you okay?" Callie asked
"Yeah, let her be. She'll calm down somehow."
The teachers calm everyone down and continue the activity like nothing happened.
