"Wake me up. please."

A long time ago, there was a dragon that treasured and loved the human race.

She adores them so much that she ends up building a kingdom that humans couldn't have before.

Her love for the human race made her give birth to a human that could transform into a dragon upon puberty.

That dragon blood eventually fades as the generations go by, until only one per generation has the power to transform.

This dragon blood only appears once in every generation of one of the kingdom's three royal families, so the child who receives the power to berserk and transform will be enthroned regardless of how qualified he is as long as he has dragon blood.

But what will happen if the three families have a child that has dragon blood in one generation at the same time?

Who will be enthroned?

How will they know who deserves the throne?

Of course, the war for the throne begins.

The kingdom used to have an easy enthroning system, but it became complicated when three candidates appeared.

The thirst for power of the other royal family starts the suffering of the main protagonist.

The struggle to survive is what shaped Christopher into the future tyrant he will be.

"Hey! Stay focused!" Mila came back from her reverie with Robert's voice.

She was so astonished by the scene she was currently witnessing that she stopped caring for her own safety. It's actually the start of the novel, where Tope experiences his first berserk transformation.

First time transforming is a painful process, and it is usually hard to control the dragon's body at first, but after he completes the phase, he will eventually have the will to control his dragon. But for now, it is just a bloodthirsty, irrational monster that only wants destruction.

"Wait? Does that mean the field of blood outside the castle was his doing?" She mumbled and kept on staring at the dragon that was getting closer to her.

She was not fearless, but more likely, she still thought that she was still dreaming and didn't think she would die.

"Hey! Mila!" Robert kicked the ground to hurriedly save Mila from the claws of the dragon that was about to swing toward her.

"Huh?" She was in a daze again. She clearly sees the end of the dragon's claw too close to her eyes. Fortunately, Robert was on time, and he caught Mila's body as they rolled on the ground.

Drip!

Drip!

"Something got into my eyes?" Mila touched her left eye that was slowly starting to sting. She could also feel her face getting wet with warm liquid.

Thump, thump, thump

Her heart beat fast, and suddenly she could feel her blood pulsating throughout her body.

"I-it hurt? Why does it hurt?" She maintains her cool and wonders why she can't see out of her left eye and how the pain is slowly infiltrating her brain.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

She screams when she realizes that her left eyes were plucked out and the pain she feels she cannot recognize because it's the first time she's felt such excruciating pain.

"Mila! Calm down! You will lose more blood!" Robert tore his sleeve and pressed the empty left eye of Mila. "Hold onto it. Don't move!" He hurriedly wrapped more clothes around her eyes.

"T-this is a dream, right? Why? Why does it hurt?" Her body shakes as other eyes see her own blood squirt out of her eye socket.

"Calm down! Stop crying! It will bring you more pain!" Robert shouted while mending her wound.

"R-Robert? Why? Why? It hurts! Help me!" She grabbed Roberts' arms to plead for her to wake up. She badly wanted to wake up from the horrifying nightmare.

Just a while ago, she was enjoying the scene she was witnessing as she didn't expect that she could feel pain from being inside the dream.

"Don't tell me this is not a dream." She finally realized and tightly held on to Robert as her visions slowly became blurry.

"Wake me up! I don't like this nightmare!" She shouted and cried.

Mila's face and shirt are getting wet with both tears and blood.

"I don't like this! Please save me!"

Baaaam!!!

She was crying and in pain, but the dragon didn't give them a chance to rest. The dragon starts to swing his claws and tail altogether.

Robert carried Mila, and he jumped around the area to avoid both the dragon and the debris of the slowly crumbling castle.

"Knights!" Robert shouted, and the knights moved to attack. With their aura wrapped around their sword and body, they managed to inflict slight wounds on the dragon.

sob sob sob

drip drip drip

Mila was in the air with Robert.

"Mila hold tightly!" Roberts shouted while he pointed his aura-enhanced sword toward the dragon. Mila is safe in Robert's arms rather than leaving her somewhere. Robert made sure to bury his sword in the dragon scale before he jumped away from the dragon.

"I'll take the Duchess, I'll be back!" Robert shouted toward the other knights and ran away from the dragon.

"Mila, don't fall asleep!"

Mila just buried her face on Robert's shoulder as she slowly lost her strength.

"Wake me up. please." she mumbled before she lost her consciousness.
