Brown’s POV
Although this incident caused a noise, it soon passed. I hid myself well, and no one doubted me. I could still stand behind him as before.
It was not long before Jack's group ran into trouble again. This time I had not counted on Dick's oldest brother. Now the group was really turning on each other.
"Dick, I advise you to stop quickly and turn Bill in. We are not going to care about your mistakes."
"And if I say no?"
"Then you are hopeless. So that my parents will not be sad about having a son like you, I'll have to do it myself."
"Then we will see who lasts to the end."
Our two sides fought again, and in the end they both lost, and neither got any advantage.
This affair brought Dick a good deal of trouble, and I tried to find some way of beating them at one blow.
I went back to my room and sat down in front of the mirror, ready to enjoy the beautiful scenery that was mine, but there was no movement in the mirror.
