Chapter １１

My eyes wandered and I saw warriors and hunters coming in my way. The way they dressed up, I think it was in the early 1970s like I saw this outfit in my History subject.

I hid behind the huge rocks when they approaching my location. My chest began to feel heavy like someone pressed on it. I hold my breath to be invisible beside them but my eyes widened when hard hands grip on my shoulders and grab me out from the boulder.

" Wait, Where do you take me? I'm not a bad person and I don't belong here. Help! I'm lost. Please don't kill me!" I beg for his mercy but he continued pulling me until he pushed me on the ground.

" Who are you? Are you a spy? Why are you peeking at us?" He snarls like a wild animal.

What I'm going to do? This is only a dream. Maybe I just need to close my eyes and fall back to sleep again and then everything will be back to normal but when a heavy palm hit my face, I think this was real.

I cupped my red face. I glared at him. I'm Anika Perez and no one can beat me like this.

" Are you deaf? Are you a spy? By who?" This guy needs a lesson.

I took his arms and bit them with my teeth. He cried in pain. His group only stared at him and laugh at him.

" Let's go August, she's just a woman. " one of his comrades said, and before I ran to save my life, I peek a small glimpse of his face and he looks cute.

I ran as fast as I can again. Why do I keep running in this place? Is this for real? My legs suddenly turned numb because of running I guess. I only found that I was walking barefooted and I want to cry when I check the sole of my feet, it's bleeding. I found a small house on the way so I decided to take a rest for a while. I will find a way to go home. I don't know who set up a prank at me but I swear, whoever did this to me, I will kill him.

I massage my arms and legs to subside the discomfort I felt. I heard crumbling sounds in my tummy. I hold my gut and it feels empty. I caressed my throat and it feels dry.

I need food and water. I check around and I saw no one living in this house so I decided to sneak inside. I need something to eat maybe there was something to grab here.

I slowly stepped inside and I went directly to the kitchen. I don't care if someone leaves here as long as I survive the night.

My eyes brightened to find a whole roasted chicken inside. I'm about to open my mouth to eat it when I heard someone yelled at me.

" Thief! Don't move or I kill you!" I only saw his silhouette because the light was off.

When he quickly turns on the light, I thought I saw his twin. He was the soldier who helps me from his comrades.

" Chicken?" The only words I said.

Ariana Ferrer and Anika Perez switch places and souls.

Ariana came from the past and was now living in the present and Anika who was Ariana's future reincarnation came to her past life.

What if these two people remain in their new life? Would they accept it or not?

Will Ariana stays in the modern world and forgets about her husband and family or will she find a way how to be back to her original body?

How about Anika? Will she stays cold and intimidating to all the man she met in her new life or will she become a soft Luna in the past time?

" Chicken?" Anika mumbled when he got her.

" Spy girl? Why are you getting in someone's house just like that to steal food? Are you lost or you're just a thief?" Karl asked her and still pointing a sword towards her.

Anika put back the roasted chicken she stole in the fridge and walked towards him with her hopeless face.

" I'm lost and I need to go home," she mumbled.

She sat on the chair she saw near the kitchen. Karl listened to her.

" It's a long story but I woke up seeing this weird outfit in my body and this curly hair of mine. I don't know what happened but what I remembered was I was sleeping inside my room when a girl wearing this suddenly appeared in front of me and we both shouted and now---" she wanted to narrate everything to him but he interrupted.

" Wait, wait do you mean it's not your body?" He laughed at her so loud.

" Hey, are you a detainee from an asylum? I can escort you there if you want!" He's mocking her.

Anika was furious and she asked him if he knows the place Perez Hotel and Resorts.

" What? Are you from outer space? The hotel I knew here was Roadstack but it's lodging and a beer house.

Anika started to get confused. If her hotel was not in this place then where the hell was she?

" May I know where's your calendar? " she asked the soldier but he scowled when she asked him about it like he's not familiar with it.

" What do you mean Calendar? I only first heard it coming from a stranger like you? You're weird!" He mocked her again.

Anika took a deep breath and explained to him what the calendar looks like.

" It's a piece of paper with numbers on it. There's a date on it with its corresponding month and year. Got it?" She uttered.

Karl's eyes widen after Anika detailed the calendar.

" Ah, I know that. Here we call it Almanac. Wait I have here inside my room. " he said and went inside his room.

Anika waited and finally, she came back with the Almanac.

" Here," he handed it to her.

Anika took it but when she checks the time and date and the year, she felt foggy and her gaze became blurry. She holds her chest trying to calm herself.

" Wait, are you sure this is the year today? April 1, 1970? Are you trying to fool me?" Her voice was like a hush on her ears. Anika felt like someone bath her water full of ice.

Karl laughed at her again.

" Yes, you're in the year 1970. Are you born yesterday or are you having amnesia?" He asked her but Anika suddenly fell on the floor.

She fainted.

" hey, wake up! Amnesia girl, wake up!" Karl shook her shoulders but she's not responding.

The year 2020

Ariana can't believe that she was sitting in a place where rich people eat and go. She looks around and she was amazed at how beautiful this fancy restaurant was. She was sitting in front of Argus Mateo who was busy looking for their food.

He looked up and Ariana saw his charming eyes studying her. She slowly plunged her head because she was embarrassed when he saw her crimson face.

Argus felt weird about her behavior.

" Ms. Perez, are you okay? You seem so different? Are you alright?" He wants to check on her because she behaves like a normal girl this time. Her cold eyes and tone faded.

Something was off.

" What do you want to eat? " He asked her while looking at the menu catalog.

Ariana wasn't familiar with modern food so she let him choose.

" Whatever? You can select my food." She told him which made Argus' surprised.

He chose steamed broccoli with cheese and pasta. He also picks lobsters because it was his favorite menu in this place. For their dessert, he selects omelet cake.

He thought of someone when he ordered the desserts. It's from the past and he didn't want to think about it anymore. It only breaks his heart.

Ariana noticed the sadness in his eyes after he finishes ordering the foods.

Ariana just sat quietly while looking at him. Argus was also staring at her. Their eyes glued like ten seconds when Ariana shifted it to another direction. She felt strange inside her. She heard someone whispering in her head.

" Ariana, I found my mate. That man was your mate!" She heard it inside her.

She looked around to see if someone was talking behind her but no one was there.

She doesn't know who's voice was that. She heard Argus calling her name so she looked at him.

" Are you calling me?" She asked him.
