Chapter １６

Anika Pov

I smelled something like a scent of smoke. I cough while my eyes were still pressed together. It's a rough day for me so I'm a bit tired and my body was lazy to move.

"I'm back!" I heard a man's voice echoed inside this little house.

I was stunned and peeled my eyes open instantly. He's a genie, the same genie in my dream last night.

" Am I dreaming again? Will I meet the soul inside my body? Will she be here too?" I had many questions for him.

This is my only chance to regain my reign in the modern world as Anika Perez and not a slave like this who would try to steal my position.

"Look at the mirror! She's right there and staring at you too!" The genie pointed his index finger in the small mirror besides this little bed.

Ariana POV

" She was looking at me! She saw me!" I said.

I was happy to see her again and the genie. This is my only chance to find my husband and to check if my parents were still alive.

"Hi, do you see me? I feel like I was talking to myself" I told her while I'm trying to put the mirror closer to my face.

She took the mirror too and lean her face closer. She looks surprised that we can see each other through the mirror. It seems like we are talking to our reflection.

"Yes, I saw you fake! We better find a way to switch our souls!" Anika told her while glaring intensely towards her.

A genie then came over to interrupt them.

" Stop arguing my Luna's. You are inside my magical dreamy land. I called both of you because you have a mission to do if you want to go back to your eras!" The genie explained to them briefly.

Both of them stared at each other.

"Mission? What do you mean by that?" Ariana asked the genie.

He jumped gaily in front of them.

"Well, both of you, please listen to me carefully," he told them.

"I wish we can work it out!" Anika mumbled while her eyes keep looking herself at in the mirror.

Genie started their Mission

" For Ariana, you must help Anika find her parents, changed her behavior to be soft and kind, find Jerick, her ex-fiance, and tell him that she was not broken when he left her, find her mate, and lived happy and contented in life."

"For Anika, you must help Ariana find her real parents, tell her husband Arem about her secret identity that she was a werewolf, that she ran away because she's scared that he might bestow her as his wife, helped her packs from being slaves inside the Valkery Kingdom. Also, she ruled her Kingdom as a role model Luna."

"Take note, both of you must finish your mission without being killed so if someone gets caught and killed, any one of you will remain in the place you are right now."

"If you want to switch places as soon as possible, better start your missions now! Good luck!" He informed them and he let them fall asleep again.

Ariana catches her breath after waking up in the middle of the night with a genie in her dream again.

"Mission? Find her ex-fiance? Wait, Jerick, I must find him!" I blurted to myself as I came back to seep again.

Anika's head throbs as she woke up inside the house she used to stay inside the forest. Little did she knew that someone is watching her.

It was Marco, the werewolf guy who owns the house.

Argus Pov

I received an invitation letter coming from my cousin Railey. He writes to me a letter that the officer of the Blue Moon packs wants me to attend the Christmas party.

Every year, they celebrated Christmas to thank the Almighty God for every blessing they received and gain powers from the Goddess Luna.

I'm in my office chair when August enters. He's one of my buddies and my Beta. His father died during the battle from the Black Moon packs. He's a brave man. My father was the Alpha King at that time but they both died in the battle.

"What a good day, virgin!" He greeted me in a filthy way.

I narrowed my eyes on him. He's calling me a virgin since I was still single and no mate since birth. It's been ages but I couldn't find her until my wolf surrendered searching for her.

"Fuck you, August!" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Any news from the organization? Did you know that Railey sent me an invitation letter?" I asked him while playing with the ball pen in my hands.

August went in an empty seat in front of my desk. He smirked at me.

" Yes, will you attend? I heard that they will reward you as the Alpha of all times, the virgin Alpha!" His eyes became naughty and he's staring at me.

I crossed my arms in my chest and folded my legs together.

"I'll think about it. Besides, it's just a small party so I can visit later after work" I let him know about it.

August raise his eyebrows to me and bit his lower lip. I know what he's thinking. He's always teasing me because until now, I'm alone and lonely unlike him, he found his mate a year ago and she was Emma. Now, they're expecting their first breed and August was hoping that their pups are a boy.

"How's Emma? Does her belly look like a round ball? I'm sure she's craving different foods right?" He mentions it to August.

He took a sigh and made a half-smile at him.

"Well, she's healthy like a pig but I still love her you know. Yes, and we're both excited to welcome our pup in this world!" He's very proud of himself and I'm a bit envious of my Beta but he deserved to be happy.

Maybe, this is my destiny, to be born single forever. I don't know but I guess I found her and she's too close to me but my wolf seems hesitant like he's afraid to call his mate wolf. I won't force her to know me. If she's the one, I will pledge my love to her.

"Sounds great! So, I'll get going. I'll call you later, okay" I said to August while organizing my folders on my table.

I am an employee of Ms. Perez' company. I'm one of the shareholders in her company. I'll take care of the party later after my duty. I went inside my Ferrari car and drove my way to the Perez Hotel and Resorts Company.

Last night was rough for me because Devorah attacks the packs again. She never listened. She doesn't know how to share territories. It's been years but I still haven't seen the real human face of their Sangria Luna. If the attack in my territory will occur again, I'll make sure to kidnap their Luna and wait for the dawn to see her shifts in her human form. If that day will come, her face will be revealed. I will make sure to give her the dose of her own medicine.

"I won't let it slide, Red Blood packs!" I said while clenching my fist inside my car.

Ariana Pov (as Anika)

I feel floppy with my body. I had been having a dream about the genie and I saw myself talking in the mirror but there is another soul inside me. My head began to throb as I'm doing my best to remember our mission.

"Right! I need to find Jerick, her ex. But how?" I asked myself.

This is the easiest way to start my mission for Anika.

"Oh my gosh, I need to go to the office! Anika will kill me if I bankrupt her company" I mumbled making my way to the bathroom.

I took a quick shower and find comfortable clothes to wear. It's hard to choose what kind of dress to pick because most of her dress looks weird. It's my first time to see a dress the same as a man, a dress like a jacket, a dress with many stones, and some don't suit my taste.

"I don't have time. Maybe this one looks better" I pick the closest to my type.

"Did you wait long?" She asked each one of them.
