Chapter 5

Krista's POV

If it is certain that the cause of my father's death has nothing to do with the Fischer group, then I naturally have no reason to use his money. But if my father's death really had something to do with the Fischer group, how could I spend such dirty money? I think it's disgusting.

Cheney is looking at me with a serious face. "Divorce? Oh, Krista, have you even calculated this step?"

"I'm just assuring you that you don't have to worry about marrying a woman like me and coming home with your money."

Cheney was silent for a moment, and his expression was dignified.

"What's your relationship with Lockie Irwin?" He asked suddenly.

"He is my friend."

"Where does friendship come from between men and women?"

"But he and I are friends," I looked at him with firm eyes. "Lockie and I grew up together."

"Lockie, a playboy, will keep such delicate grass around him but not pick it and only want a friendship from you?"

I went to his side to gather together, he had a wide smile, "So it sounds, you are praising me for being beautiful."

He ticked his lips. "Don't change the subject with me here."

I sat upright and smiled. "Lockie and I are indeed friends. He is not my favorite type, and I am not his lover. If we are friends, it is better to say that we are like siblings, and everyone can be separated from each other, but no matter where we go, we always remember each other and hope that we are good wherever we are and can do everything for both of us."

"Brother and sister? Are you older than him?"

"Well, two and a half months older," I shrugged. "I don't look for men younger than me, that's my principle."

Cheney picked his eyebrows as he drove. "I don't care what your principles are. You just have to remember that I don't allow my women to look at other men."

Without saying anything, the car quickly drove to Fischer's mansion. Fischer's mansion is a famous garden-style building in City A. Because Cheney's grandmother is from Jiangnan, she likes the feeling of small bridges and flowing water in ancient buildings in Jiangnan.

The grandfather of the Fischer family loves his wife and becomes crazy, so he specially built such a Jiangnan Garden with rockeries and pavilions for his wife.

Although I have heard about it for a long time, when I entered here for the first time, I still had a little trance, as if I had come to the ancient buildings in the south of the Ovis River.

Seeing Cheney, the domestic servant came forward respectfully and said, "Second young master, you are back."

"Are my  grandparents asleep?"

"Not yet."

"Go and invite them to the drawing-room, I have something to say."

"Yes, master."

After the servant left, I finally couldn't help saying, "Your family is too corrupt."

He hooked his lips. "What do you know? This garden is proof that my grandfather loved my grandmother."

His words made me suddenly shut my mouth. The relationship between the father and the old lady of the Fischer family is indeed a good story for decades.

Cheney's POV

In the living room, grandma was alone on the sofa. Grandma looked up and saw me and said with a smile, "My baby grandson, how can you come back to see Grandma today?"

Suddenly her eyes fell on Krista's face. Seeing Krista, Grandma brightened at the moment. "Hey, who is this beautiful girl?"

I took Krista to my side and naturally put my arm around her shoulder, and said, "Grandma, let me introduce you to the girl who is going to marry me. Her name is Krista."

Grandma looked at Krista with satisfaction and said with a smile, "This girl is good and beautiful. My grandson has a good eye. Girl, come here and let me talk to you."

Krista went over and bowed to Grandma. "Hello, Grandma."

"Oh, don't be so polite. Tell me, did this boy abduct you, or did you volunteer?"

Krista laughs. "I volunteered."

"That's fine, the first girl my grandson took home voluntarily is not young. I wish you would get married quickly and give me a great-grandson."

"I don't agree with any marriage." Suddenly there was a stern yell at the door.

When I heard the sound, I turned to look and saw Grandpa come in with a cold face.

Krista gave Grandpa a clever bow. "Hello, Grandpa."

Grandpa didn't make a sound but gave me a leaning look and gave me a cold snort. I picked my eyebrows and looked at my grandmother, and said, "Grandma, it seems that you have to delay your great-grandson's wish."

Grandma turned and stared at Grandpa. "Baldwin, it's not like you married a wife. What are you against?"

"I am his grandfather."

Grandma snorted, "What's wrong if you are his grandfather?"

The old man looked at Krista and asked, "Girl, let me ask you something, did you know Cheney already had someone to marry?"

Krista looked at Grandpa with supercilious eyes. "I know."

Grandpa was surprised and said, "Do you still want to be with him?"

"Grandfather, I don't know why you want to object to me being with Cheney, and I don't know how much you value Zaniyah. All I know is that Cheney doesn't love Zaniyah, and the Fischer family has a great cause. You already have everything. Do you want Cheney to sacrifice his marriage and marry a woman he doesn't love? There is no common language in my life such as strange bedfellows."

When I heard Krista say this, my eyes fell on her. No one dares to talk to grandpa like this except grandma. Sure enough, the old man's face has been ugly. I looked at Grandma and winked at her.

Grandma hurriedly talks to save the field. "Krista, I love what you said. I only have one grandson left. I can't let him marry someone I don't love."

Grandpa sighed and said, "Aurora, don't interrupt at this time."

"Why can't I interrupt? My grandson is not yours. You have your opinion. I have my opinion. Everyone expresses their opinions. The debate is still divided into pros and cons. Why should everyone rely on you when my grandson is the one getting married?"

I hook my lips, so long as Grandma is standing here, everything will be fine. In this home, on the surface, Grandpa had pride in his word, but in fact... Grandpa's center revolves around Grandma.

Being choked by Grandma, Grandpa said to me with some displeasure, "You take this girl back to rest first, and I want to talk to your grandma."

"Yes."

I waved to Krista, and Krista naturally came over and took my hand. Looking at her, she held in my hand, my expression paused, and she blinked at me. Only then did I react, this woman is just acting.
