Chapter １８５

Within seconds my eyes began to heat up, the warmth swiftly turned into a burning sensation but nowhere near as painful as the wolfs bane that was still coursing through my veins. Once the heat covered my entire body my veins began to run cold. It was a soothing yet very strange sensation, but as the cold blood travelled around my body, it was like inside it there were these tiny little firemen putting out the wolfs bane flames. Flames that had spread throughout my body like a bushfire on a scorching summers day. Eventually, my blood returned to its normal temperature and as it did, my eyes began to clear. My wolf senses returned along with an extremely excited Mina. She was howling a greeting inside my head and jumping around like a baby gazelle. Now with my eyes being able to focus again, I watched in amazement as a magical ice-blue orb the size of my hand hovered gracefully beside me. Then for the first time in ages, I heard Selene speak to me inside my head.
