Such a sweet liar

She woke up.

She woke up from a long sleep; from a long nightmare.

Actually, she wanted it to be just a nightmare.

But-

'Mother…' Her eyes were wet.

And everything was white.

'Where am I?' There was just too much light- a white room with one bed and virtually nothing else.

No sound, just a light deep buzz.

She checked her body- plain white clothes or rags to be more specific, no injuries and no pain.

'How am I still alive?'

She was supposed to be dead. After all, she distinctly remembered killing the life support.

And yet- she didn't die?

'Then that ship-'

She got rescued?

Or-

She- Rin took a deep breath and sat down.

She tried getting up- she could.

'I'm not weak?'

This didn't make sense. She was heavily malnourished. Even if she got saved, it was still evident she'd be at least weak enough to not be able to walk, right?

Then how come she was in perfect health?

She didn't know and there wasn't anyone here who could answer her.
