On the day the skies turned red, a small fleet of outerworld beings appeared, taking Vesta from her average life, suddenly sweeping her up in an outerworld rescue and taking her to settlements on faraway planets. In the chaos of the rescue, Vesta is separated from her family.

Unknown to Vesta at the time, after she leaves the planet, Earth begins to break apart.

There will be no going back.

With her friendly, adaptable personality and her never-ending sense of hope, Vesta accepts her fate and befriends her shipmates, eventually winning over the commander, Condra Tae.

During her journey, she - and all the outerworld beings - learn that she holds the key to a deadly plague that ravages the outerworld populations.

“Run,” Quara pushed Vesta and began firing her weapon. 


“Tanner!” Lucy cried. “We can’t leave without him!”


“Just get to the jet, Mom! I’ll get him,” Vesta promised.


Vesta sprinted to the grand hall, still clutching a now-angry-at-being-disturbed Merlot. As she reached the doorway, she found herself in the middle of a firefight. There was so much dust and debris in the hall, she could barely make out Rycer and his team fighting on the far side of the room. Mazet and Re’s forces had blasted the side doors open and were pressing those inside to an inescapable position. 


“Tanner! Condra Tae!” Vesta yelled above the noise of the skirmish.


Tanner’s white face appeared through the haze.


“Vesta, go! I’m okay. We’ll meet you out there!” Tanner called to his sister.
