Villainess of her own story.

Aaru ran after Satiah and held her hand stopping her from running again. He turned her swiftly to face him and his hold her on arm tightened.

"What did you do to Satiah? Where is her spirit?"

"She is dead...." she replied and tried leaving but he wasn't letting her go.

"You are an imposter and you will have to explain yourself to everyone, you demon. You possessed my friend and will have to bring her back....." he was cut off by Satiah's hand hitting his face hard.

"I told you she is dead, she is dead." she yelled with all her strength. "She is the cause of all this. She destroyed my life." she added breathing loudly. Tears flow down her face with her veins throbbing in her neck. "Isn't my life bad enough? Isn't the world satisfied already? My life is a mess, she ruined my life completely. I never asked her I wanted her help. I never told her to choose death and bring me to her problem. I have my own problems to face and now, I have hers too. Why is the heavens so wicked to me?" she cried out.

Aaru let go of her hand, and slowly she fell to her knees crying out loud. He could only stare at her not knowing what to do or what to say. Seeing her cry the way she did, reminded him of Satiah.

She ran away from home and went to his house, during the first day of the harvest month, a year ago. She cried just like this imposter did. He had felt so angry at the world for hurting his best friend, for hurting the only person who his heart beats for.

He's being in love with her since they were teenagers but kept it to himself cause she was destined by the gods already to be the crown prince wife. If only she wasn't chosen, if only life was so fair to her, his best friend wouldn't have died.

He moved back as he was hit by reality. His best friend is dead. The girl told him his best friend is dead. He sat down on the floor as he wailed for the death of the only woman his heart beats for.

....

The path leading to the chief priest courtyard was quiet, with no passing human at view. It was midnight already, and most people have gone to bed except for those who went to the famous brothel before the market.

Aaru and Satiah walked back quietly with their faces reddened from tears and their eyes dulled.

Aaru was thinking about his friend, while Satiah was thinking about how bad her life turned out to be. The two were in their thoughts, and almost passed the courtyard which they realized because of the loud voice of the Chief priest calling to them. The chief priest walked towards them, staring daggers at them with his fist clenched by his side.

Semat rushed out and fell on her knees clenching his leg tightly, "Please do not do anything to her, she is your daughter. Forgive her please." she pleaded with her face wet from tears.

The chief priest ignored her and forcefully removed his leg from her grip, making her to lose her balance

"Uncle, it's not what you think....." Aaru was cut off by the chief priest pointing his finger at him.

"Shut up. She is a rebellious child but I never expected you to be together in this." he looked at Satiah with reddened eyes and slapped her hard on her face earning a scream from Semat and a gasp from Aaru. "You ungrateful child, you are going to be the crown prince wife and you are moving about the market with a man, looking dishevelled. You are such a shameless girl."

Satiah glared at him earning another slap from him, this time falling her to the ground.

"Uncle, it isn't what you think." Aaru said stopped him from hitting her more. Semat, not able to handle seeing her daughter being hit, fell to the ground losing consciousness. Herneith and her maid rushed to her.

The chief priest pushed Aaru away and called his security guards standing by the entrance.

"Lock this shameless girl in the dark room." he said and went back inside. The guards dragged Satiah up and led her to the dark room.

Aaru was shocked at the outburst and rushed to Semat still trying to be revived by the maidens who were also in tears. He sighed bitterly and helped her up.

Just as it was called, the room she was pushed into was dark and nothing could be seen but that didn't bother Satiah at all, as she stared at nothing thinking about how failed she have being.

Clutching her chest, she fell to the floor releasing the tears she had kept caged within her. Her tears flow down her cheek like a rushing water, flowing down a rock.

Just as she had said to the sorcerer, she is going to change her destiny and will shock the whole world. If she was destined to have a bad life, then she will make the whole world have a share of her bad life. If her life is a story, then she feels sorry for the writer as she will take the pen away and write down her own life. She will be the villainess of her own story.

She wiped her tears and smiled viciously.

The chief priest looked at the letter written on a royal scroll that was sent by a massager bird and looked at the sky with a straight face. He dropped it on the bed and rushed out of his room.

He walked into Semat room and was greeted by the maidens taking care of his wife.

Seeing her husband in her room, she managed to seat up and bowed slightly.

"A message just came from the palace, the marriage have been shifted to three days from now. The ritual will start tomorrow. Talk to your daughter and bring her back to her senses." he said and left the room.

Semat sighed sadly, and laid back on her bed.
