Hunter's Next Move

It has been a week since the attack. Every news was about the return of Hunter and how he was the most eligible bachelor. The journalist kept asking him why he returned and where has he been?. If he had actually found his mate, he didn't answer about his mate he just said he got tired and went into a supernatural sleep and he had just woken up.

Isabelle felt so tired that she even avoided Silas and Amy's calls. Her parents have been going to the Royals for meetings because of the Azalk attack. They're after all the human leader and representative. Isabelle has been alone at home all week. Whenever someone knocked she would ignore it because it was either Amy or Silas. She knew they could sense her inside but she still didn't care, she wanted to be left alone.

After rolling around on the bed and being unable to sleep, she decided to go and watch the television. She did not know if she should be happy or sad, for the moment she switched on the television, Hunter's face appeared on the screen.

"I will be attending the capital high school, in other to learn this era, for I am alive far beyond my time," he said to the TV representative. The man continued to ask him a lot of questions which he politely answered but none mattered to Isabelle as the fact he would be attending the same school as she kept repeating in her head.

"That is my school he's going to be attending my school." Isabelle squealed. She was so happy that all her energy returned to her. cause that means Isabelle never thought she would be able to see him again, that was why she had been feeling weak. She knew of the fact that her parents are important but seeing someone like Hunter who is seen as a savior is close to impossible. Now, she can't wait for tomorrow to come so she would be able to see that face again and breathe the same air he does. She looked at him once more and he was still wearing the sunglasses she gave him. She couldn't think of any reason why he still had it on. Not that it matters because the simple fact that he had it on was enough to make Isabelle feel important.

Hunter continued answering the questions thrown at him and Isabelle watched with delight. "Not to worry again for I have marked all habited area and if any Azalk should try to infiltrate any territory I will know and I won't be merciful. The ones under our custody will soon give up and reveal their hideout" he said as he ended the interview and left the screen. The newscaster started talking about what he said and Isabelle switched off the TV as it was now boring for her.

"What am I going to wear?" Isabelle sighed. She pouted as she thought about Amy and how she would have been of help if she hasn't been such a snub. She gathered her courage and called her and she picked on the first ring.

"You better have a reasonable explanation!" she shouted through the phone and Isabelle flinched

"Come to my house and I will explain better." Isabelle invited her over and within a few seconds, she was knocking on the door. She used her super speed because patience wasn't in the character of a wolf and she has missed her friend.

"So, start spilling," she said immediately as Isabelle opened the door

"I just got scared and chickened out. So, I've been messed up and I didn't want you guys to see me like that." She lied. Though she was messed up, it was for another reason. Amy looked at her with pity and gave her a warm hug. Isabelle also realized that she missed her best friend and returned the hug.

"Am sorry you had to see that, you poor child." she said slightly above a whisper

Isabelle broke off the hug as she has more pressing matters that needed Amy's expertise. "So, I called you to select a nice cloth for me so that I will look good tomorrow in school." They both walked up to Isabelle's room and opened her closet

"Oh, that's how you want to apologize to Silas?" She asked and Isabelle gave her a weak smile. She thought it was better she thought it that way because the truth was just stupid.

After checking out some cloth Isabelle decided to wear a cute blue gown. She wished it would really get Hunters' attention

"How do the mate bond works?" Isabelle asked because it had been on her mind since she saw Hunter. Amy looked at her like an alien because she had never asked. She still decided to answer because it was her best part of being a wolf.

"It pulls you towards each other. Though you will be pulled towards each other, you have to see each other's eyes to see the glow and know he or she is your mate" she answered. The eyes are the window to the soul, with the eyes you won't be able to peek down to the soul. Isabelle wondered how the blind will then be able to identify their own mate but decided to ignore it because she has never seen any supernatural with a deformity. She went ahead to asked what interested her more.

"Have any supernatural mated a human before?"

"I heard that it has happened a few times. That was part of the reasons why Hunter liberated the humans so that the supernatural that mated with humans won't have to hide it." She thought for a bit then continued "A wolf and vampire and even a witch can sense their mate from afar. You can feel the presence and will be drawn towards each other. The moment you lock eyes you will see the spark, it will travel down your spine. I don't know much about other supernatural, but wolves are very possessive about their mate especially alphas." She laughed and Isabelle knew she just remembered Damian. "You can see the possessiveness in Damian"

"Yes, I can" Isabelle sighed with an eye roll. Amy gasped "What's wrong?" Isabelle asked

"I just thought of Hunter, if alphas and royals can be so possessive about their mate, I can't imagine how possessive he would be, you know being the hybrid." she said with a look that can be interpreted as pity.

"Yes because everything about him is intensified." Isabelle kept seeing him in her mind. truth be told most girls won't complain if he was possessive over them and Isabelle happened to be on the list.

"Silas will easily forgive you if he sees you wearing this" Amy said as she looked at the gown

"I will come tomorrow morning to give you a fine makeup, don't worry it's going to be light" she added as she know Isabelle was not a fan of makeup "I will be going I have a date with Damian, bye." she ran down and out she goes. Isabelle sluggishly went and locked the door and came back to her room.

Isabelle grabbed her phone and sent a text to Silas telling him the same lie she told Amy. She got his reply, saying how sorry he was and that he would make it up to her in school. She was not ready for any drama and she hoped he knows. Isabelle slowly drifted to sleep with one person on her mind. She ended the day with hope for a blissful day in the school tomorrow.
