“What did you say?” Xander growled, making Tatiana’s eyelid twitch in frustration.

"I said no,” Tatiana reiterated. “You can leave, but they’re staying,” she insisted before she used her strength to get up. She didn't want to flip Xander in front of his wolves or dominate him the way he was trying to dominate her, but her patience was running thin.

This man had some nerve popping up in her house and attacking her. Maybe she needed to return the favor, but the apologetic faces of the boys she had saved told her otherwise. She didn't want the alpha to look weak in front of them, but if Xander chose aggression again, then she would also show no mercy.

"See, here's the thing. Just because I ran into you last night doesn't mean I care one bit about you. I hate vampires, I despise your creation, and if I could, I would kill you right here and now. So don't give me a reason to try out my neatly carved wooden stake on you," Xander coldly warned Tatiana.
