They are too free

: "That's fucking dope yo!" Chunghee cheered with all of his voice.

: "Boi I know right. Look at that graphic. It looks so good. That hyper-realistic environment," not to be outdone by his friend's cheer, he replied with the same vigour.

: "Although the NPC left much to be desired though. Their graphic is so shitty compared to the life-like environment that they were placed in."

: "Well it's an early access build what do you honestly expect though? The NPC is already quite good compared to current-gen games. Although they lack the expressive facial expression and blemish, they still look quite lifelike."

: "Ye, true true! Quickly go download the game, I want to see what it looks like inside."

: "Why the fuck are you rushing me. Are you going to join me though?"

: "Nah, I'm going to back seat gaming. The Korean novel that I'm reading just got a mass release."

Eduard manoeuvred himself on the chair toward the right side of his table. There lay what could be described as a thick sunglass with a thin rectangle attached to the front of it. The black object glowed with blue light the moment Eduard interacted with a button on the side of it.

: "Deep-VR is syncing for download. Probably will take half an hour. I'll go for a quick toilet break."

: "Oi asshole! Did you fall asleep in the toilet?" Chunghee yelled through his headphone to see if his friend was kidnapped by the toilet monster that lurked deep inside the loo.

: "Ahem. No. I went and ordered some snacks just in case I got hungry later," he calmly replied.

Eduard moved toward the Deep-VR headset that is now dimmed. He quickly adjusted his chair recliner and his seating position to make sure he is as comfortable as possible. The Deep-VR came on.

Eduard's mind was instantly sucked into the Deep-VR headset. The inside of the machine was dark yet vast. His mind could float about easily in the massive expanse. Yet, only a second later, purple explosions could be seen in far the distance. From the explosion, miniature stars rushed out like a broken floodgate. They came in thousand, million or it could be billions. Too many for Eduard to count. Rather ran gushing out in all directions, the stars slowly started to sync with one another. Rivers and streams composed of countless miniature stars could be seen converged towards Eduard.

In front of his eyes, the words "Stellarium Games" made of stars began to form. After letting Eduard observe this beautiful calligraphy for a few seconds, the words broke down and its components rushed toward him. The vast expanse slowly dimmed again. Eduard's body was the only lighthouse in the dark, glowing brightly in purple.

This lasted for only a second before the stars dispersed to form a galaxy map with him at the centre. A beautiful galaxy could now be seen yet to Eduard it was another Monday.

Eduard waved away the login messages that just appeared in front of him. With his hand, he started to manipulate the galaxy map. After less than a second, Eduard arrived at the "Game" star cluster. Entering "Games", the galaxy map collapsed and condensed into numerous images of the games he owned.

'Ah, here is Outer Rim.' Immediately after selecting the game, his mind was immediately sucked into it.

Turquoise-blue stream wound, tangle and wrapped freely around the lush verdant forest. Vast lands untainted from the machination and exploitation of man spread as far as the eye can see. Majestic mountains overlook the earth and its creature as if a mother looking over her children.

These organic landscapes suddenly flushed into Eduard's eye as he hovered above the cloud. Although, this is not the first time he flew. This liberating feeling was simply addictive.

Like a majestic eagle freed from its earth-bound shackles, Eduard flew around just to take in more of this breathtaking landscape. As he moved further, stranger views came to sight. Mighty mountain ranges accompanied by a duvet of snow and frost; they stood tall overlooking the rocky soil and sparse vegetation below. Yet, they are not the tallest thing there. Floating islands hovered above these mountain peaks. They gravitated up and down slowly breathing frost and wind down on the peaks below.

At the very centre of the biggest island, surrounded by a field of white, a tree of red petals stood at the epicentre. As the breeze blew, red petals like lazy cats nested themselves comfortably, falling and drifting wherever it brings them. Littering themselves across the white canvas.

As Edward approached, a lazy petal slowly drifted toward him. Like Deja Vu, the moment the petal touched him, it started to pixelate. Petals still on the tree rustled and those on the ground started to vibrate. They all started to pixelate and converged towards him.

: "The developers seem very free," Chunghee sarcastically commented, breaking Edward from his stupor.

: "Shut up bitch and let me enjoy the nice graphic!" Eduard jokingly replied. "But ye! Must be those graphic designer guys getting tired of animating the environment so they did this for fun."

After joking with Chunghee, Eduard refocused himself towards the pixelating petals. Turned out, what was left of them was the floating red game menu in front of Eduard.
