Scenario

Options on the menu disappeared and in its place [Scenario] screen popped up. A wide list of starting scenarios ranging from Crash Landed to Bandits. Eduard hovered over the interesting scenarios to see their exact details.

Crash Landed started you with 3 to 5 random colonists and an assortment of medicine, materials, money and weapons alongside the ship debris that came down with them. This was the most basic option.

On the other hand, Lost Kindred showed a completely different start. [Through the reformation of their faith, their society advanced yet this came with a grave cost; the anger of the gods.

When judgement day came, robots that were once their most trusted worker, aid and protector turned on them. Through the vile machination of the gods, beings that will fight to the very end to protect them turned into demented killing machines.

You, an abandoned god of the pantheon managed to save 5 to 7 random colonists. Together they managed to scrounge up a few advanced weapons, food and medicine. This start will change your global_faith_gain_multiplier to 0.5 and global_tech_research_multipler to 1.5. Your faction starts at war with faction.]

: "Eh! This is not bad," Chunghee replied then urged his friend. "Scroll faster! I want to see the other options."

: "Kan Ni Na! Are you playing or am I?" sick of his friend bullshit, he quickly replied.

Scrolling a bit more, Lirian Survivor was also quite interesting. [The Lirian tower was once the most famed wizard tower in the north. Everything could be studied there. Yet seemingly though bigotry and hatred, the tower master a wizard of light demanded that all personal dark magic books, spells and artefacts be confiscated.

However, it was later turned out that he somehow obtained a shard of a fallen dark god. The tower master wants to dominate it and achieve elemental balance. The dark mages revolted after hearing about his hypocrisy.

You a benign guardian spirit that has been protecting the entrance of the tower for hundreds of years managed to bring out 5 to 7 random mage apprentices before the fight starts. After quickly securing a few magic books, runes and apprentice level weapons, you only managed to secure very little food and medicine. This start will change your global_magic_research_multipler to 2. Your faction has special diplomacy options with and factions.]

: "Hmm this is not bad."

Ignoring his friend's stupid comments, Eduard continued scrolling and found another interesting scenario, Cultivator Vengeance.

[The Descending Moon sect is one of the six strongest sects of the Southern region. Due to the sect being female exclusive, the male colonist's mother and grandmother protected and allowed him to remain in the sect.

Due to internal division, factions and 1 random male colonist's mother wished for her son to inherit the sect. She was later forced to go on a secret suicide mission by the opposing faction grand elder. The sect leader, the male colonist's grandmother was furious yet she couldn't do anything without evidence. In her moment of grieve, the grand elder launched her poisonous plot against her.

You, a sword spirit of the sect leader's house managed to help the male colonist escape. Before the sect leader went into a coma, she gave him her spare Spatial Ring. It contained a small amount of food and medicine. This start will change your global_ki_gain to 1.5. It also has a large number of materials, weapons, ki books and ki stones. Your faction starts at war with sect.]

: "Eh! You should pick this," Chunghee vehemently voiced his suggestion.

: "Mein Gott! Shut up Chunghee," quite annoyed at Chunghee's bullshit he retorted. "This ain't Korea where everyone is a cultivator. If you want this scenario then come and join me."

Just to get back at his friend, Eduard immediately selected the Lirian Survivor scenario. However, to the surprise of both Eduard and Chunghee, the game developer seemed to get the last laugh; as a notification appeared on the screen and the option slowly greyed out.

「This scenario is not available in the current build.」

Although annoyed at the lack of quality control, Eduard shrugged it off and selected Cultivator Vengeance instead. The same message appeared again.

「This scenario is not available in the current build.」

Although the option for Cultivator Vengeance was greyed out, Lirian Survivor returned to normal again. Eduard doesn't know if it was a stroke of genius or naivety; he selected Lirian Survivor again just to make sure.

「This scenario is not available in the current build.」

Thoroughly annoyed, he tried clicking other options too.

「This scenario is not available in the current build.」

: "Goddamnit! Then what the fuck is available," now thoroughly annoyed Eduard ranted.

: "I can hear the soft laughter of the interface designers," Chunghee jokingly chimed in. "These must be for the beta or future build. Try looking for what you haven't clicked yet."

Eduard somewhat reluctantly replied. Though there were about two dozen scenarios so it didn't take long for him to find the final scenario, nestled neatly at the bottom of the list, The Chosen. Eduard knew that the interface designers intentionally did this for fun.

[Handpicked by the gods, augmented to be stronger and better than their mortal counterparts; They spearheaded tasks deemed important by the gods. You, a foreign god belonging to a distant pantheon arrived here accidentally. By using the remainder of your power you managed to summon a chosen; however, the local gods discovered your arrival and made sure that you can't expand via recruiting local colonists.

The recruitment of locals is disabled (they can still be converted to your ideology) until you made progress further into the game or special events.

You can invite your friend to join your game; they will be classified as gods of your pantheon and be allowed to summon their own Chosen. You can only draft other Chosen in case of war; however, no one apart from their gods can assign them tasks.

To offset the difficulty settings, Chosen will receive a 5 times multiplier for task/s and skill/s aligned with their gods. The multiplier will be halved for every additional Chosen in the colony.

You can customise your Chosen and starting items, materials, weapons, food and medicine. This start will change your global_faith_gain_multiplier to 1.5.]

: "Eh this is genuinely not bad," Eduard thought out loud. "They must be testing colonist creation in this build."

: "The multiplier is op though. Imagine you play a solo colony."

: "Chunghee! Chunghee! Chunghee!" Eduard kept repeating his friend's name like a broken modem.

: "What the fuck do you want bitch?" annoyed by the constant name spam, he vehemently retorted.

: "To my most beloved friend, Lee Chunghee. How long have we known each other? If I recall correctly, we have known each other since we were babies. Could you do me a tiny favour and embark on this game with me?" the annoying broken record is no more. In its wake is a seemingly genuine friend who only wished for slight assistance from his good friend.

: "Fuck off Ed. I already told you I am busy," Chunghee completely dismissed his friend's plea without batting an eye. "And bitch, we met when I was 11 so where the hell did you get that baby shit from?"

: "Compared to our age now, 11 is still practically considered as babies," Eduard quickly retorted just to make his case clear.

: "Bitch you're only 18. Don't talk like you're 150 years old plus like those old Übermensch fossils from the first Weltkrieg," Chunghee helped Eduard re-anchored himself back to reality by slapping his bullshit with a load of facts.
