After over thirty-years of searching, Ravuth at last feels hopeful. 
Recalling the last time he saw his parents and mischievous younger brother at his village, when the Khmer Rouge herded them off like animals, along with the rest of the villagers, he can only imagine what they have been through. 

This thrilling, unpredictable, yet sometimes hilarious quest, takes you from the fashionable London restaurant scene to the wild, untamed jungles of the Cardamom Mountains, where an English baker helps a Cambodian refugee searching for his missing family and an elusive plant, the source of an exquisite spice.

The Spice

Jed spent the next day on edge. He compiled his evidence against the businessman and waited for the crime lab to supply him with the final piece so he could get an arrest warrant and close the case. He called the crime lab several times during the day, but they kept telling him of a delay in uncovering the information from under the thick marker. Although the CSI officer sounded vague, Jed assumed it was because he was annoying them. 


While Jed was talking to Tug in their office, two men dressed in suits walked in and went over to them 


“Agent Jethro Culver?” asked one man. 


“Yeah,” said Jed, and the men then showed him their badges, introducing themselves as Agent Andy Murray, with the FBI, and Lieutenant Doug Sanders, SFPD Internal Affairs. 


“You need to come with us Agent Culver,” said the FBI agent. 


“Internal affairs and FBI, what do you want with him?” asked Tug, looking puzzled. 


The agents ignored him and repeated, “You need to come with us now, Agent Culver.”
