Descendant Of The Origin

"Who are you and what do you want from us?" Asher asked glaring at the figure. It would be a lie if he said that the aura the figure was emitting didn't send shivers to his spine but he got pride and he needed to protect it.

"Don't you know me, boy? You run your mouth previously but here you are shivering," the figure taunted as he approached Asher. He materialised in the kitchen to the shock of Miles.

"Arthur!" Miles gasped causing Asher to turn and stare at him in confusion.

"Who is he?" Asher asked Miles who kept silent for a while before answering him.

"He is the vampire lord, since many ages till now he has been the vampire lord," Miles replied looking at Asher with fright.

"And who are you, kid?... Uhm, wait! Aren't you Alpha Lucas' son? What then are you doing here with a kid?" Arthur asked with a creased brow as he stared deeply at Miles.

"Alpha's son? How is that possible?" Asher asked deeply confused at the moment. First, it's Arthur, a Vampire lord now is Miles, his friend, no....an Alpha's son, he was confused that he didn't know who to look at.

"Are you confused? Oh, he kept the secret from you...then I must have been a gossip," Arthur said with a low voice.

"Asher let me explain...I am the Alpha's son, sorry I kept it from you but I wanted to surprise you with it. I am here because as the first son, I need to have a mate before I climb the throne. My dad is still alive but much old and that is why I have to rush everything pretty quick so I can take over from him or everything will fall into the wrong hands," Miles said in a low tone causing Asher to look at him.

'Though he kept the secret from, I have no right to be angry at him' Asher thought inwardly and placed his hand on Miles' shoulder. "It's okay, we should then look for the mate as fast as possible. I'll help you with that," he said reassuringly.

"Kid, you are dumb!" Arthur said causing Asher to turn and stare at him with a frowned face. "How can you not see the sparks between...."

"Arthur, you haven't told us why you are here," Miles suddenly said immediately interrupting Arthur in his speech.

"When did you grow so old to call me by my name?" Arthur said coldly while staring at Miles.

"I-I am sorry," Miles said with his head lowered, he was not supposed to call him by his name considering his age and status but he could not help but do it. This is the only way to stop him from telling Asher but his feelings.

"Enough of that! Tell us why you are here man, or just leave," Asher said to Arthur. Miles turned and stared at Asher in surprise while Arthur could not help but grin.

"I like your temerity but don't let it take over you! Or I'll trim those invincible wings for you," Arthur warned still with the grin on his face.

"Fine! Just go straight to the point and tell me your main reason for coming here," Asher replied, not daring to act rashly again.

"Better now, as for the reason why I came here, we need to discuss it in secret. Follow me," Arthur said and waved his hand creating a portal out of thin air. He went in and Asher was about to follow him when Miles held him back.

"Do you trust him? What if something happens?" Miles asked worriedly.

"I'll be fine, don't worry. He won't lay a hand on me because I assume he needs me for something important," Asher replied, reassuring his friend.

"Okay, just be careful. If you notice anything unusual, get out of there immediately," Miles said and let go of his hold on Asher.

"I will," Asher replied with a smile and entered into the portal which disappeared the moment he went in.

"How ridiculous for you to assume that I won't hurt you," Arthur said to Asher when he entered the portal.

"It's not a ridiculous assumption as you've said, for a vampire lord to pay me a visit simply means you want something important from me," Asher said with every confidence as he stared back at Arthur.

"Indeed," Arthur simply replied and waved his hand. They materialized in an old throne room with a throne at the edge of the room and a large table in the middle.

"Where is this place?" Asher asked while looking around.

"This is the Origin's throne room," Arthur replied and walked to a wall.

"What Origin?"

"The vampire Origin. The creator of the true vampires that first appeared in the world, this throne room belongs to him. But he is no more," Arthur replied and heaved a sigh.

"I don't understand anything, why did you bring me here?" Asher asked and Arthur turned around and pointed to the drawing of a faceless man on the wall.

"This is the Origin, I brought you here because you are his descendant."

Asher was shocked at what Arthur said, he kept quiet and didn't say a word causing Arthur to speak up again. "I have been watching and monitoring you since the day you were born before the Origin left this world, he told me something that pertains to your birth and ever since then I've been waiting for it. I almost gave up hope because I have waited for too long but seventeen years ago, I felt your presence and I began to search for you. It took me three years to find you in the human world, I never expected that his descendant will be a human which was not good so I had to find ways to bring you here."

"Are you saying..." Asher did not complete his sentence. His mind wandered to the day he got killed, the red substance that he took, and how he appeared in this strange world, they were still fresh in his memories.

"Yes, but the red substance you took is my blood and you didn't get killed, the blood helped you to disappear from your world to this place. This is where you belong and not there, as a descendant of the Origin you are to rule the entire vampire race."

"Me? Rule the entire vampire race? But how am I supposed to do that, what then becomes of you? I doubt all that you are saying, they make no sense to me"

"There is only one way to find out."
