After they got home, Asher fed Miles with the meat of the creature and laid him on the bed to rest, making sure that he had already fallen asleep, he left the house.

"I am sure that I killed the man here, but....he isn't here!" Asher mumbled to himself while searching the place he had killed the leader earlier. He could not find the body, not even the head was seen, only dried up blood that was splattered around the place. "My instincts kept telling me that something is wrong and now I've just confirmed it. Two things are like what might have happened, one, his people came and carried his body and two, he has the power to come back to life..the second one can't be the case, It's not possible."

Asher shook the thought out of his head and turned to leave when he suddenly began to hear noises. "Not one, not two, not three, not four....five!" Just as he finished speaking, the man he had killed earlier arrived together with four other men. "How is this possible?" he asked with a shocked look on his face.

"Are you shocked? Did you think I was rattling when I told you that you are no match for me? A kid is always a kid, you are no match for an elder like me," the man said with a grin on his face.

"An elder who is on the verge of dying is nothing but a living corpse, I may not have killed you well enough earlier but I promise you that I'll kill you completely this time around," Asher replied as his eyes began to glow.

"I didn't come here to fight with you, I came to take you to my lord. He wants to see you now," the man said to Asher without replying to his comments.

"Tell your lord that I am not coming, if he wants to see me, he should find me by himself and not send someone like to me," Asher said to the shock of the men behind their leader.

"How dare you!" One of the men rushed out to attack Asher but before he could do anything he was stopped by their leader. "But sir....."

"Shhh! He isn't to be harmed, it's an order from the lord or else I would have long attacked him and not waste my spit on him," the man said with a sour face, Instantly earning a chuckle from Asher.

"Oh, I guess am a special guest but I'm sorry to disappoint you, tell him that I'm not interested, if he thinks it's important then he might consider coming to me," Asher replied with a shrug. He didn't wait for the man to reply to him and left the place even before the other men could react.

"Boss, what should we do?" One of the men asked as he turned to face their leader.

"What should we do? Of course, we should go back and report it to the lord. I wonder how he'll react if he gets to know how this kid insulted him," the man replied with a smirk on his lips.

"Did you say the kid made fun of me?" the figure asked the kneeling man.

"Yes my lord, he did. He said if you are interested in seeing him, you should go find him," the kneeling man replied. 'Let me see how you'll save your face this time around ' he said inwardly as a faint smirk appeared on his lips.

"Okay, you can leave!" the figure ordered much to the surprise of the kneeling man.

"My lord, I should leave? What about the boy? don't you want him anymore?" the kneeling man asked, he could not understand what his lord was up to.

"I'll take care of the kid myself, you can leave," the figure replied waving his hand at the man.

"But my lord....."

"I said leave!" the figure said in a heightened voice. The kneeling man got up immediately and bowed, with his head still lowered he walked out of the room.

"Time to pay you some visit!" the figure said and waved his hand, disappearing instantly.

"Where have you been?" Miles asked the moment Asher came into the house.

"I went for hunting again," Asher replies pointing to some dead animals by the corner of the entrance.

"But you didn't tell me!" Miles said almost yelling out.

"You were asleep so I thought it wise to not disturb you after all you were drained by me," Asher replied, trying to make his friend understand.

"Fine! Next time, don't go without me," Miles said and walked away.

"Why is he suddenly so childish? did the too much blood lost affect his brain somehow?" Asher mumbled to himself as he watched Miles walk towards the bathroom, he sighed and walked into the kitchen to prepare some meal.

"What are you doing?" Miles asked as he walked into the kitchen.

"I'm cooking, can't you see?" Asher replied with a sigh. Who in his right senses wouldn't know that he is cooking?

"I can see, I just wanted to hear it from your mouth," Miles replied and sat by the corner watching as Asher prepared the meal.

"What's gotten into you lately? you are getting more and more annoying," Asher suddenly said.

"Nothing," Miles simply replied without saying any more words. Asher turned to look at him but he avoided his gaze and looked out of the window.

Suddenly Miles sniffed the air and rubbed his nose, he did it again causing Asher to stare at him. "What is wrong with you this time?" He asked.

"I smell a vampire," Miles replied still sniffing the air. The scent was becoming stronger causing him to frown deeply.

"It's me....there is no one else here," Asher replied, he was about to complain but seeing the deep frown on Miles' face he swallowed his word and stopped what he was doing then closed his eyes, opening them again they began to glow. He looked outside the window following Miles' line of sight and was shocked to see who was there.
