Chapter 26: Best Friend

Once again, we traveled at a snail's pace.

I couldn't understand why we were taking our sweet time trying to get back to Sewell Castle.

Sir Nigelle leaned over and mumbled something to Sir Aeron, but he neither responded nor reacted.

He wont tell me, but I know something is wrong.

'I will just do what I can to try and cheer him up before I leave.' "Sir Aeron." I rode up next to him. "When will we arrive at Sewell Castle?"

"Tonight."

"Well, in that case...I was thinking about visiting the orphanage tomorrow. Did you want to join me?"

"I will be busy. You go ahead. Say hi to the children for me."

"Are you sure you wouldn't rather tell them yourself?" I smiled, but he never moved his gaze from the road ahead. "I'm sure Lady Ila will want to see you too."

"I have to update Lord Ubo on the expedition and I have a lot of paperwork I have to take care of. You have fun." He turned towards me and smiled.
