The welcoming party was overwhelming. People filled the streets and cheered thunderously as we traveled to the castle.

"Please find rooms for our guests. They'll be staying till the party." King Renaud said to the workers, who greeted us, as he got off his horse.

The servants approached and took our horses to their stalls.

"Please find Charli a room in the castle." Renaud said to a maid and gestured toward me.

"No, I'll be staying at the inn." I interjected and put my bag over my shoulder.

"You saved my life. At least let me offer you a room to stay in. I insist." He said sternly.

I groaned, and opened my mouth to refute, but closed it again when I saw the workers standing around us. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I followed behind him and Aeron as we walked up the steps.
