The preparations were nearly complete and people were arriving to the Royal Kingdom from all over the place. Carriages after carriages, knights after knights carrying sigil's of their castles and houses.

"You need to get ready too." Aeron said as he approached me.

"I've prepared a set of armor for you in your room. You are to be the first woman to be knighted in history."

I gaped at him and words failed me.

He chuckled and looked down at me. "You saved his Majesty. This is how he wishes to award you. On top of that…" He leaned over and whispered, "...he's also granted my request. Come spring, we are free to go wherever we wish."

My heart lifted and a smile of glee crossed my face. I was finally going to be free from all this pain and heartache. I could finally escape.
