I'm not the same as them...

"I don't know what you are talking about." I confusedly said.

Jingyi pulled out a chair and sat right next to the bed. "Have you ever know who your parents are?"

Parents? I don't know them. I always lived with my aunt since I was little and never asked her about my parents.

"No, I don't know them." I sighed, "I never knew them. I was living with my aunt since I was little."

Jingyi, "I see. The incantations that you used is somehow familiar."

I sat properly on the bed and wanted to listen attentively. Maybe, there is some clue I can get about my parents.

Jingyi looked at me and started to tell the story:

"There was once a mighty sorceress that lived in Qing mountain. She practiced dark arts but it was used in orthodox manner. She became so powerful that everyone in the land feared her.

One day, she decided to go to the woods to hunt, then she came across a lonely sorcerer in her hunting area. The sorcerer knew about the dark sorceress but pretended he didn't recognize her.

The sorceress challenged him thinking that no one is more powerful than her but eventually he managed to defeat her.

From this event, she agreed to be the wife of the sorcerer but little did she know that the sorcerer already had a family.

The two always see each other in the woods and never did the sorcerer allowed her outside the mountains in fear that she may found out about his family.

As time goes by, they kept seeing each other and eventually fell in love and had a child.

The sorcerer left his original family for the dark sorceress and went into seclusion with her.

The original wife became desperate to find out the reason why her husband left and seek help to search for him.

The day the sorcerer came both wife meet with the children in their arms. In rage of what she saw, the dark sorceress unleashed all anger that almost killed everyone in the search party. No one was able to stop her except for the sorcerer.

The original wife left the mountains in fear of her and her child's life. She them accepted the faith that the sorcerer left her for good.

As for the dark sorceress, she went into seclusion in fear of her own powers. The sorcerer went with her to the mountains but killed himself after a few days to atone for his sins.

Both the wives in seclusion eventually died in depression of the lost sorcerer."

After telling the story, Jingyi became silent and looked blankly out of nowhere.

Then I broke the silence inside the room. "It's a sad story.", I said, "No one got there happy ending."

Jingyi, "You are right. No one got a happy ending."

I asked, "Jingyi, the story is incomplete. What happened to the children?"

Jingyi looked straight at me, "Nobody knew what happened to them but the elders said that both children will live to avenge their mothers."

I looked at him with a frown, "Telling me this story, it makes me feel that your thinking that I might be the dark sorceress child."

Jingyi, Xue and Yawen looked at like they think of some conclusion.

I continued, "I told you. I never knew my parents, I never knew this time, I'm from the modern era... I'm.."

Jingyi interrupted, "I never said that the child is you but chances are high."

I frowned more, "See. It's the same thing that you suspected me as the child."

Jingyi, "No one practices dark arts like you did twice already but like I told you the dark arts was used for orthodox manner."

Thinking that this will be an argument, "What I know is that I don't know anything about it."

"Jingyi, I wanted to ask. The child of the dark sorceress is from Qing mountain. How about the orginal's wife child?" eager to get answers.

"The story didn't say where the original wife is from but according to elders they are from an ordinary family." Jingyi said .

I looked puzzled since its strange that the story is incomplete.

Jingyi stood up and headed to the door of the room, "It's already late. We'll talk more tomorrow. For now get some rest."

Xue and Yawen followed him outside. As I laid to the bed, questions kept on my mind but one thing is for sure, I wanted to go back to where I am and discover why I'm here.

The sun is up and we continued our way to Qing mountain.

Xue looked at me while we ride our horses and told me, "Dark circles are around your eyes." as he laughed.

I looked at him, "Don't you start." I can't really sleep last night with all that happened.

I was still riding on the horse with Xue and in front of us are Yawen and Jingyi with separate horses. I lightly tapped the back of our horse and went beside Jingyi.

"Jingyi?" I asked, "I forgot to ask last night, what do you mean by calling me Mistress of the Undead?"

Jingyi still looking straight on the road answered me, "With the story I told you last night that is where it came from. Those who practices dark arts are usually associated with the undead but since your the only one so far I knew, I called you that."

I scratched my head and thought that if I can control the dead maybe I can summon them and fight for me but that will be too scary to do.

Then I continued to asked, "Jingyi, what if I..."

Jingyi raised his left hand in that halted all of us.

"Xue, what happened?" I asked while I touched Xue's shoulders.

"Stay here. We'll check someone behind the bushes." He answered.

Xue then went down the horse as well as Yawen and approached the bushed when suddenly 2 man in black started to attack.

Jingyi pulled out his sword and helped Xue and Yawen. I watched them as I still rode the horse not knowing what to do since I'm not used to this kind of stuff.

Suprisingly a man also in black suddenly rode the horse I'm in and tied my hands. I tried to struggle but all started to slowly went blank. All I can hear is Jingyi screaming my name.

After some time I regained consciousness. I'm still tied up and when I looked my surroundings it looks like an old abandoned house. A man sitting right in front of me started talking.

"Apologies if we treated you this way, Mistress." he said.

Mistress?

"What do you mean mistress?!" I shouted and struggled.

"I just wanted to keep you safe from the Xin's" he then took the jar beside him and began drinking.

"I don't know who you are and what you want but release me this instant!" I shouted.

"As much as I wanted to mistress but I need to keep you in this state until we reach Qing mountain." the man in black said.

"What?! Are you insane?" I struggled as much as I could but the rope is too tight.

"Please mistress, I don't want to hurt you. This is just to protect myself from you using dark arts." He held my chin but I shook my head to remove his hands. "Just like the previous mistress, you are capable of using dark arts. You are the only one capable in many years of searching."

I started to get irritated with him and wanted to get away as soon as possible but he keeps on telling me about this dark sorceress like the story of Jingyi last night then out of irritation I yelled, "Don't compare me to her or to any other! I'm not the same as them!"
