Chapter 66

The festivities of the end of the year went by and Benjamin had to go back to college. For what he was, in a way, very thankful.

Anthony stayed there and when Benjamin arrived, he was eager to listen to everything his friend had to say.

"Oh, come on, Ben! It can't have been so dreadful." He said and Benjamin just rolled his eyes.

"It was terrible. Louisa is in love with that bastard. I thought she may be infatuated. But no. Seems like she really loves him."

"So it may be time for you to stop trying to pursue her." Anthony said and Benjamin scoffed.

"No! I know she loves me. She loves him too and that is the problem." Benjamin said, angry. "I can't see any flaws in him, so to make her see that I am a better choice."

"I think you're wasting your time. And it will only make you suffer. Not only you, but her as well."

"Why do you say that?" Benjamin asked, while on his bed, eyes closed, hands on his chest.
