Chapter 67

Michael and Louisa spent some time in the garden, in silence.

He wanted to kiss her, and hug her, but he knew she was still shaken by her parents. He respected that.

After some time, they were called to dine.

"May I come tonight?" He asked Louisa, before he left, in a low voice.

She just nodded and smiled at him. Michael kissed her hand and left.

He was going to prepare himself. He understood that they may not do anything more than just sleeping in each other's arms, but he wanted to be ready, if she decided differently.

When it was around ten, he arrived at the castle and tiptoed to Louisa's room. She was in bed, reading. She had taken a shower not long before, he could tell, not only by her wet hair, but because of her smell.

She looked at him, amiled and put her book on the nightstand. Then, she opened her arms, and he went to her.
