Chapter 110

Dorothea and Anthony's wedding day finally arrived. It was going to be simple, but would have everything they needed: family, love, friends and, most importantly, themselves.

"Calm down, let me finish your hair." Her future mother-in-law said.

"Yes, let mother be over with it. You are going to look even more beautiful."

Dorothea was about to cry. She never imagined she would be so welcome into a decent family, even though they knew about her past. They never once treated her with contempt.

"Thank you so much…"

"Oh, don't cry! Don't let those eyes get swollen, or have a running nose. You need to be the best you can. It is your day!"

Dorothea only nodded. She had to be stronger. She thought about Anthony, how he was probably so handsome in his outfit, waiting for her at the church. The priest was not very much willing to marry them, since she had been a prostitute, but Devon spoke in private with the man and, seemed like, he finally accepted and even said 'sorry' to her.
