'Why am I running?', she thought, desperate. She was just going for a visit to Dimitri, as always. But after she heard Michael's voice, a terrible feeling engulfed her and her legs started to move before her brain could react. 


She didn't go far, of course, since she was on foot and Michael was on horse. His horse was now in front of her, which almost made her collide. In her attempt to prevent it, she stopped too abruptly and ended up twisting her ankle. 


"Where do you think you're going, Mindy?" Michael's voice was cold and Mindy didn't have to look up to know that his eyes would be scary while staring at her. 


"I was just going to visit Dimitri." She said and Michael noticed that she didn't call the man by its title. 


"I… I don't know." She answered sincerely. "I just… I don't know."
