Gor

I stayed there for a long time before I decide to leave. It might not take long for Mate to start looking for me, and I don't want him to find me missing.

Who knows, he might link two and two together to know where I am.

"What took you long?" Rissa frowns a little before her expression turned to one of mischief. "You saw the boss didn't you?" She raises a brow.

"No. I didn't."

It's not a lie, I might have heard his voice, but I didn't see him. Seeing him and hearing his voice are two different things.

"And you expect me to believe you?"

"Why shouldn't you?" Frowning at her, I walk towards the bar. "I have a last minute stuff to take care of with Gor, I'll be right back."

" Gor? " Rissa widens her eyes in disbelief. " You have something to take care of with him? "

" I guess. "

The truth is I don't have anything to do with him, his name was the first that came to mind when I thought of the right excuse to make use of when evading her.

"You guess?" She gives me look. "How can you guess when it's obvious you mentioned the name of the am a God kind of male?"

"I just want to relay some news to him." Waving at her, I head towards the bar.

The bar isn't as crowded as it was before, it's as if most of them have either gone home, or retired to the private area of the bar.

The hostess for the night is dancing her heart out to the loud music while the drunk males around her keeps on cheering her on. Their claps and whistles can be heard above the loud music.

Gor was wiping the counter when I came out to the bar, the loud music coming from the speaker doesn't look as if it's disturbing him. He doesn't in any way look disturbed.

Merk and Oak are having a sort of argument *don't ask me, but I think those two are couples, or on their way to be* like they do all the time.

I've not seen people quarrel as much as they do. Most times, I believe they live off quarrel.

Sitting on the chair opposite Gor, I try to get his attention but it's fruitless. Aside from doing his duty and all that, Gor never talks to anyone. He've never said more than a few words to any of us.

"So, I was thinking if I can get a free sprite." I smile at him, my Violet * everyone have made reference to my eyes except for him. He acts as if my eyes aren't different from how they were before.* eyes blinking cutely.

He didn't say anything, he just kept on cleaning the table. It's as if I didn't say anything.

I frown at him. My cuteness giving way to fierceness. "Gor, can I get a sprite."

"A pretty face as yours shouldn't frown at all. " Someone says Behind me. "Don't worry, I'll get more than a sprite for you." I feel a hand on my shoulder

Turning at the touch, my eyes locks with an unfamiliar one.

Dressed in a worn out jean and casual black shirt, he looks lost in a place like this. His messy hair and staggering posture is enough to tell a person of how drunk he is.

He doesn't look bad in any way. His face is just ordinary looking, there's nothing special about his brown boring eyes.

"I don't need anything from you." I remove his hand from my shoulder, and turn back to Gor who's still cleaning.

I bet he haven't turned for once.

"But I do." The male strongly holds my shoulder. "I want to buy you some drinks, and many more." He staggers some more.

"Let me go!" This time, I remove his hand on me with enough force. "Buying stuffs for people isn't by force." I frown at him.

" But I don't want to buy for someone as pretty as you are." He comes closer.

It's as if he haven't learnt any word I said.

"Allow me to buy a drink for you pretty. We can talk over that." He place his disgusting hand on my shoulders.

"And I don't accept things from someone as ugly as you are. Don't ever try to lay a hand on me again." I angrily push him.

He staggers at the force of the push. " How dare you!" He advances towards me, lifting his hand he made to hit me.

" He said you should leave him alone." Gor jumping the table, holds the male's hand in his, an angry look on his face.

" And who might you be?" The drunk ask, a furious expression on his face.

" Someone who's disgusted with your actions." Gor sneers before kicking him on his stomach, his actions making the man double over in pain.

Gor stands waiting for him to rise, but he did no such thing.

Without talking, Gor returns back to his duty.

"Thank you." I smile at him.

"Don't thank me. You've got to stop attracting people like that." He says without looking up.

" Attracting?" I angrily look at him. " Are you trying to say am the one who attracted him to Myself."

" You said it right."

" You...." I angrily sit on the chair.

" You need to stop acting like a baby." Gor Frowns.

"You're calling me a baby?"

"Aren't you one?" Raising a questioning brow at me, he takes a bottle of sprite, and passed it to me. "You can now have your sprite." He takes the bucket of water with him as he walk back to the space.

With him gone, I allow myself to smile a bit.

I might not have gotten him as a friend, but I made him talk.

Not only that, but he helped save me from the drunk insufferable male who's now sleeping on the floor.

Should you ask me, I'll say it's a win-win.
