Welcome to Ghost City: Meeting Data-kun Part 2

Appearance of the mysterious guy, a transparent body with a fancy trench coat, jodhpurs pants, and a top hat. He seems to be Declan Hugo as he stated from before.

"You're Hugo? How can we know you are Hugo?" Felia interrogates the mysterious guy.

"I know it is a bit sudden and with all of the misunderstanding come to light. I can't blame you. I'll tell all the way but for now follow me." Hugo says to Olivia and Felia, as well as Claire herself.

"How about my share of the reward?" Alfo replies to Hugo.

"For now I'll leave you with that." Hugo tosses a memorable gift that is a part of Hugo's collection.

"An old pocket watch?"

"It's from the 90s. Better take care of it."

As they follow Hugo, with all the questions reside at the hearts of Olivia, Felia, and Claire, it still holds many mysterious of this city.

"Remember when we first talked, Claire. That was the day I finally get to contact you, one of Ken's chosen heroine. He made it possible in order for me to assist you on your journey."

"You meant like telepathy? That's amazing. After all this time, someone is assisting you, Claire." Felia tells to Claire.

"She's already special from the start." Olivia proudly comments at Claire's status.

"Who's Ken?" Claire asks Hugo.

"I'll tell you later when we reach the end."

"What should we call you? Calling you Data-kun will a bit dumb at the moment, it's embarrassing." Claire is a bit mortified as asking Hugo.

"You can call me Marsh. You can ask me anything if there is something bugging you."

"Then who is Ken?" Claire tried to tease Data-kun back.

"Except that question, that I'll answer later." Marsh

"What's this place? How come there is a city in the abyss?" Felia speculates the origin of the city to Marsh.

"There was once a child who was chosen by an evil god. He was observed on any of his movements, any moments was recorded by his own memory to remember by. All the sadness, happiness, confusion, and annoyance, he was toying him for the fun of it. At the end of the journey, that child was eventually sent here in the abyss. He was lost and afraid of the dark, all he can depend on was his voice inside his head..." As Marsh tells a story he somehow changes form from a middle aged man to a little boy as they march on the stairs of knowledge.

"He followed every whim and instruction that he offers but in the end nothing can deny his destiny. Isolation and darkness was always there, creeping all around to that broken boy. With all of his loved ones forgotten about him, all he can do is to imagine and that happened. His imagination run wild like a fire in the forest, forming a whole society of ghosts. The funny thing here is that most lost souls travel all their way through rumours and memory latched on to that city which made them felt warmth and remembered something meaningful as they were alive before. And so most of them formed into transparent people who works under me, which resulted this city, working altogether in order to maintain peace and order to the afterlife."

"Then this Ken might be the one responsible for the child's creation?" Claire suspected and predicted this side of the story.

"You're almost right, but it is not his responsibility. I already told you, it was one of his whims. He is fate itself, you met him once before when I was out." Then, Claire remembers a specific conversation with that evil god.

"I rather not tell you at this moment but as you know, I'm the god of this world, an evil one to be precise." That was his words before.

"That guy. He sure is annoying to talk, too narcissistic to be exact. He sure loves to talk about himself, about being a god or something." Claire boasts herself.

"That's clearly him alright." Marsh cackles first and then continues. "He created the death angels by his own blood and other chosen specimens such as children from a certain world. He was the one who connected the strings of fate between us Claire. And you'll be the only person who would grant my wish."

"And what is that?"

"You are free to enter." Marsh vanishes into thin air as they appear to be in a top of the city, a room that is for a certain someone. All of them enters, and see the core of the city, Marsh.

"Where are we?" Upon entering, they see a cylindrical container filled with water and other substances, as a child in the center stays afloat after all this time. All of them thought in unison.

As they observed closely, they gaze at the chest area of the child with a large gap hole that clearly doesn't have a heart but a spherical glass, filled with the essence of imagination coming from the child's mind.

"Is that Marsh?" From up close, his facial features are beautiful and well-defined that can bewitched any girls. As Claire notices it, she was surprised by the sudden familiar voice.

"Yes. Inside the large gap hole is the lifeline of the ghost city. Whether I maintained the stability of the city determines what I think it through or not. I can only say this during I'm around since the distance of my Dreamworld is as the size of the city. But when I unplugged the plug, the whole city will shut down as the death angels will activate to hunt me."

"Why are you telling us this? Also, you can just appear like a ghost, why can't you do it here?"

"First, you need to use my source of power to be guided through the Nightmare Dungeon. Second, I can but it would be hilarious to surprise you guys. Am I funny or what?" Everyone laughs a little bit and then pause for a serious conversation.

"Will you die if this was unplugged?"

"Not really but I'll be inside your mind for a while or put the spherical glass to a designated pathway as I'll decide where to go. You'll just put my core back once you are done. Easy." As Marsh tells a short but important information, he materializes a microphone and drops it like a king. "I can tell she is nearby once she arrives close enough to my Dreamland. At a cave close enough here in the city."

"Who?" Olivia and Felia asks in unison.

"Phillia."

"Wait you didn't tell me she is after you." Olivia is a bit shocked by the sudden threat as it remains untouched.

"Why are you so oblivious, Claire." Felia vociferates at Claire's clueless state.

"I just forgot. Peru-peru."

"Now we are really doomed." Felia lost his confidence from attaining safety for Claire.

"Are you prepared, Claire..." Claire immediately unplugged the plug and instantly every part of the appliances, even the pocket watch is paused. Now the destruction begins.

At first, Claire's death is unavoidable. A sudden crash around the room had been played as instantly, Claire immediately dragged Felia and Olivia to run as fast as they could and jumped from a long way down.

Second, the collision of debris needed to dodge is almost impossible. So Claire used her 5 other lives to make a right option to land safely without getting crushed by the debris.

Third, the decimation of the road. Most buildings were destroyed in the process and now they three know who had caused the disaster. At the top of the city, they witness all the six death angels activated and now they are rampantly targeting the thief who stole the core of the city, Claire Valentine.

"Now now. All of a sudden, I'm the star of the show. What else he plans to do next, Ken!" One life was taken again.

At the background, Ken creepily stares at a long distance in order not to be seen. "You don't need to yell, Claire. Like before, you've been always my special pawn to play with. Let's see, how will it turn out to you, Candy Mellows."
