Coming from very different worlds does not prevent Hailey, the cook's daughter, and Owen, the future Alpha, from starting a relationship, since their love is stronger than any status.

Tobias follows us closely as the servant leads us through the corridors, entering the palace until we reach a room where Owen is asked to enter.


“This will be your room until the king calls you back,” Tobias orders, but Owen shakes his head.


“I will not separate from Hailey,” he declares, but Tobias smiles at his rejoinder, as if he takes pleasure in his rebellion.


“I'm not asking you to, boy. It's an order from your king.”


“I am not a child,” says Owen taking a step. “I am an Alpha and leader of the Wolf council and Hailey is my Luna and a member of my pack. I will not be separated from her,” he says pronouncing the words, syllable by syllable.


“Cocky little‒” Tobias starts to say, but I cut him off as I interpose myself between Owen and him.


“No. Owen is right. We won't split up,” I demand, but Tobias snorts.
