Ryann should have gotten a job years ago, but a failure to commit and a socially awkward disposition have left her collecting degree after degree. When she wins a trip to The Ski Lodge over winter break, she and her two best friends pack up and head out with dreams of adventure.

After a brief encounter with intensely awkward billionaire Chance Belgarde, Ryann is certain she never wants to see him again.  

Unfortunately, nature has other plans. 

A blizzard traps everyone in the lodge and triggers an avalanche, extending their stay together. When people start to panic, their darker natures come out to play.  Chance and Ryann will have to come together if they want to make it out of this trip in one piece.

AVALANCHE

In the room, we went our separate ways. I pulled on snow pants over my jeans and traded my converse for boots. I pulled on two jackets, my poofy coat, a scarf, a hat, and gloves before finally feeling ready.  


In the living area, I found Chance in a winter coat, gloves, and cap. He looked good. Too good. When his eyes fell on me, his lips twitched before he pressed them to restrain an unmistakable smile. I narrowed my eyes at him and stormed to the door in a huff. It wasn't my fault the cold was my mortal enemy. 


We met up with the others, grabbed our shovels, and were herded to the side door. I hated the cold, but I was excited to see what lay beyond what had become our own horrible little world. 


The two others Chance and I were paired with went first. They opened the door and exited without hesitation. I cringed at the burst of cold stinging my cheeks before forcing my legs to move. Chance stayed behind me, a comforting presence as I stepped into the unknown.
