T-t-t-Timeskip!

Time passed.

After our first test of my power, we started meeting every weekend to test it.

We tried to see if Harry could do stuff too, but our results were inconclusive. At least until Christmas.

That year we got presents, and sent presents. Since Harry and I didn't have any money, we made some small stuff for Clarity and put them in bags.

Harry drew a beautiful picture of her, while I gave her a jar of explosion.

I'd been practicing it in secret, trying to make something explode when certain conditions are met. It took the entire month of November, but I got some inspiration when the Dursleys had us cook Thanksgiving dinner.

I was mashing some potatoes, when it hit me. And by that, I don't mean inspiration. I mean that Dudley threw a science book at me. No idea where he got it from, especially considering how advanced it looked.

But when it fell, it landed on a certain page. It detailed how phosphine, on contact with air, had a high likelihood of exploding. That gave me an idea, and I set things in motion right away.

Once dinner was done, I started digging in right away. Harry, seeing my action, quickly followed suit.

While Vernon and Petunia sneered at me, Dudley was already stuffing his face with a whole turkey leg.

"Don't forget to have some mashed potatoes as well Dudley dear." Petunia lightly admonishes him.

He rolled his eyes and picked up his spoon. I watched surreptitiously as he lowered it. He inserted the spoon, and nothing happened. He lifted the spoon, a chunk of potatoes coming with it.

*BOOM*

The Dursleys all jumped at the loud sound, their knees hitting the underside of the table.

Dudley though, he jumped out of his seat and screamed! The mashed potatoes exploded in his face!

The Dursleys stared at him, shocked. By the time Vernon had the mind to yell, Harry and I were in our cupboard, laughing.

Back to Christmas, I gave Clarity a jar of explosion, that when opened or broke, would ignite the air around it for five feet. I made sure it came with instructions so she wouldn't open it on accident.

Of course, I made it seem childish so that nobody else would know that it was real.

As for what Clarity got Harry and I, we got toys! I got a chemistry set for kids, which Clarity seemed to think will prevent me from blowing things up with it. I couldn't help but chuckle at the time since we both know I can blow stuff up with my mind.

Harry got an art set, the kind that looks kind of professional by a kid's standards.

Dudley, seeing that we got presents, proceeded to throw a fit. Vernon and Petunia just looked on, unsure of what to do.

On the one hand, we were happy.

On the other, if Clarity's family found out they did something to the gifts they got us, they could kiss any kind of connections with them goodbye.

That night, Dudley decided to take it into his own hands. We awoke to Dudley trying to get into our cupboard, though we'd long since ensured that there was a lock on the inside.

Dudley started quietly raging at us about how we don't deserve anything nice and how our gifts should belong to him.

Harry, growing angry for one of the few times I can remember, shouted at him.

"Those gifts are ours you warty little pig!" There was silence outside the door, Dudley shocked that Harry had yelled at him.

Then he started shouting. He was loud enough that he woke up Vernon and Petunia, who rushed downstairs.

They started screaming as well, and soon we heard the sound of the front door slamming open then closed. Harry and I exchanged glances, then went back to sleep.

In the morning, we heard about what happened. Apparently Dudley grew several large warts, and his complexion grew pinker. By the time they reached a hospital, he resembled a warty pig.

That weekend, the three of us discussed it and compared it to previous incidents. According to our research, it appeared that Harry does have a power, but it's inconsistent and tied to how strong his emotions are. Seeing that, we decided against trying to train him to use them on command.

Months passed by in a flash, with Harry and I going to Clarity's house every weekend. We didn't always train or research my power though. Lots of time we simply hung out and watched tv or played games. She introduced us to stuff like the gameboy, and shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Scooby Doo! It was awesome!

Before we know it, it's June, and Dudley's birthday is right around the corner.

Apparently they plan to take him to the zoo with his friend. They were planning to have Ms. Figg take care of us while they were gone, but she tripped over her cat and broke her leg.

Since she crossed paths with a black cat, but also broke her leg, would that mean she gets good luck or bad?

Anyways, they decide to take us with them for some reason. They could let us stay at Clarity's house, but apparently that's too extravagant for us. Ignore the fact that we go over there every weekend.

It's also a bit odd that Dudley wants to go to the zoo considering what happened to Polkiss.

Maybe I'll see the tiger that ate him!
