Chapter 6 Collect Evidence

Ashley blinked her eyes awkwardly and distanced herself from him secretly.

"Honey, I'm really busy today. You know, I've just transferred Kate to you. There are still a lot of things waiting for me to deal with. I'll be busy until the new secretary takes up. Please forgive me."

She rarely acted like a spoiled child in front of him. She had always been arrogant and reserved, but at this time, the heart of Jake had been filled with heat. There was nothing he could do if Ashley didn't go out with him.
