All of a sudden, Freda didn't want to get in for Zed Smith. Somehow, she felt that Zed gave her great pressure and a little guilt.
Freda turned around and was about to leave.
But Adrian Smith stopped her, "Emily, Zed is busy. Would you like to come to my office and have a seat?"
"No, no." Freda waved her hands and thought, "I am busy avoiding meeting your brother. I don't have time to cope with you."
However, Adrian said, "Anyway, you will go back with him later. Why don't you sit here and have fun for a while?"
Hearing this, Freda was a little unreasonable to refuse, so she had to agree and followed him embarrassedly.
"Thank you, brother."
Adrian Smith was choked by the word "brother". He thought to himself, "Emily White won't suffer any loss. She doesn't look like a brainless person."
Freda was forced to enter Adrian Smith's office. She thought it would be a boring and stereotyped place, but she didn't expect that it was a fully equipped entertainment place.
He had everything here. Did it look like the home of one person?
"Your office is quite lively..."
"You must be surprised. My brother had been in a coma before. I dealt with the company affairs slowly first, so I lived here basically. As a result, I got used to living here."
Without thinking too much, Freda said, "It's boring to live in the company all the time. Let's go home."
Home.
Hearing this, Adrian Smith paused with his back to Freda and said, "It tired to commute."
Sensing his abnormality, Freda scolded herself in her mind for being brainless and speaking without thinking.
She had heard that Adrian Smith was an illegitimate child. Although he seemed to have a good relationship with Zed Smith, who would know if there would be any dirty things behind?
Perhaps it was because Adrian Smith didn't know how to answer the topic of going home that they didn't say a word in the next two hours.
It was not until Zed Smith heard that Freda was here that he came to ask her to go back.
Following Zed Smith, Freda turned around and looked at Adrian Smith who was standing by the door. She suddenly felt pity for him.
Subconsciously, Freda held Zed Smith's hand and asked, "Won't Adrian go back with us?"
Zed Smith looked at Freda and saw that Adrian was standing there and looking at Freda in surprise as if she had said something shocking.
Indeed, her brother didn't like to go home.
"Adrian, let's go home and have dinner."
When Zed Smith was young, he hated Adrian very much. Because when Adrian appeared, Zed's parents never came back.
Besides, the existence of Adrian was the evidence of his parents' broken love, so Zed subconsciously avoided his brother.
If Freda hadn't mentioned it, Zed would still think that it was normal there wasn't Adrian at home. Even if Adrian had supported the whole Smith family when Zed was in a coma, he quietly retreated to his original place after Zed came back.
When Adrian Smith heard Zed Smith say that he should go home for dinner, he was stunned at first, and then followed, mumbling, "Brother..."
"It was ridiculous for you to always live in the company. Go home early after work."
"Okay, okay!" Adrian Smith turned around and went back to his office. He carried his phone and followed Zed Smith.
In the Smith family that night.
Adrian Smith's return made Master Smith very happy. After Master Smith had two bowls of rice in a row, Freda had to stop him from eating too much.
"Grandpa, you can't eat anymore!"
Master Smith was not a greedy man, but the dinner tonight was the most delicious one in recent days.
Being stopped by Freda, Master Smith felt a little embarrassed. He couldn't help laughing at being told not to eat much at such an old age.
It was rare for Adrian to see his grandfather so lively, so he couldn't help laughing.
"What are you laughing at?" Freda looked at him and asked.
Adrian Smith replied, "Of course I'm happy to see you make grandpa so happy."
Master Smith laughed. Although Adrian was not close to him since his childhood, he was not a bad child. Master Smith said, "You're always busy with your work. You rarely come back home. Come back more often in the future, so that I don't have to wait for you at home every day."
Adrian Smith felt sad and quickly answered yes. Then he buried his face in the bowl and ate to hide his emotions.
This was the warmest meal that had been held since Violette Smith left. Everyone felt at ease, and for no reason, Zed Smith felt it good.
Since then, Adrian had officially moved back home, but Freda seemed to have made up her mind to be a dawdler and she didn't want to go to work anymore.
Master Smith urged Freda several times and secretly told her to keep in touch with Zed Smith more.
"Grandpa, you have no idea how hateful your grandson is," Freda thought.
However, Zed Smith was different. Since he didn't take Freda with him, Zed Smith had been sticking to the girl in his heart. Since he knew that Red Fox and Miss. Anna were Freda, he tried to make an appointment with her, and even spent a lot of money to find someone to track Red Fox, which made Freda embarrassed.
After all, there were too many identities of Freda, and one of them lived directly in Zed Smith's house.
Freda made up her mind not to let Zed Smith find her!
So they two began to play the trick of the cat and mouse game.
Fortunately, Freda was good at hiding herself from Zed Smith, so he didn't catch her.
It was another day when Zed came home with a long face.
Noticing that Zed Smith had a weird temper these days, Master Smith asked in confusion, "Why does he become so bad-tempered again?"
But Freda didn't take it seriously, "Grandpa, leave him alone. Maybe he is tired from work."
This gave Master Smith a chance to say, "Now that Zed is tired... Hurry up, Emily. There is soup in the kitchen. Send it to him."
It seemed that Master Smith couldn't see the ugliness of Emily White. He wanted to make a match between the two sincerely.
Urged by Master Smith, Freda reluctantly took the soup upstairs.
She knocked on the door and Zed appeared impatiently.
"What are you doing?"
"Grandpa asked me to bring you the soup."
"I don't need it. Take it away."
Freda didn't want to bear what Zed said. If she took it down, Master Smith would say something.
"Grandpa asked you to drink it." Freda insisted.
"Emily White, don't always force me with grandpa!"
"Do you think I want to come here?" Freda thought.
"I don't want to come, but grandpa cares about you."
"I don't need it!" With a refusal reflected on his face, Zed Smith was about to close the door, but he didn't notice that the door hit Freda's hand. A bowl of soup was instantly smashed and splashed on her body and lower legs.
In an instant, the face of Freda turned pale. The soup was very hot, with white steam coming out.
Zed Smith was a little surprised. He didn't realize that the soup was so hot, so he closed the door coldly.
A servant couldn't help laughing at the miserable situation of Freda.
"How ignorant Freda is! Young master hates her so much!"
Freda heard the servant's words, and the scalded part was burning. With tears in her eyes, Freda looked aggrieved.
The servant was stared at by Freda and she dared not say anything and hurried away.
Freda stood still and wanted to tell Master Smith, but the soup seemed to pour out all her grievances.
Freda endured the pain and went back to her room to deal with her wound.
Freda didn't want to stay here any longer. Even if Freda had promised Mrs.White that she would stay here to replace Emily White, she was still a human being.
Zed Smith's attitude towards Emily White was a little excessive. No matter what happened, Zed was wrong. Moreover, acting as Emily White, Freda had been cooperating with him unconditionally. She didn't do anything bad to him, but she was still targeted.
Thinking of this, Freda thought, "Since you don't like me, I'll go. Let's see if it's you who suffer or I regret!"
