Chapter 23 Run Away from Home

Freda did it.

On the second early morning, Freda carried the suitcase and walked out of the Smith family's gate in front of a group of servants.

The butler was startled by her behavior and immediately asked someone to stop her.

But Freda insisted on going out.

"Butler! Leave me alone. Bye!" Freda's voice was sonorous and powerful.

The butler had no choice but to send people to follow her from a distance to see where she had gone and whether she was in danger.

In the eyes of the butler, this young madam was a real fool.

Freda didn't want to run away from home, but to make Zed Smith trouble. She didn't care about the people following her with the butler's instruction and left swaggeringly.

When Master Smith and Zed Smith woke up, they knew that Freda had run away from home.

Master Smith glared at Zed angrily and scolded, "What did you do again?"

"Is the soup last night?" Zed Smith wondered.

Freda couldn't have run away from home because of that. Zed said with dissatisfaction, "The soup spilled last night."

"That's it?" Master Smith asked in disbelief.

"That's it."

Seeing that Zed Smith didn't care about it at all, Master Smith thought for a while, called all the servants, and asked, "what happened last night? Tell me everything you know."

The servants looked at each other. A maid looked around and came out. "Last night, young madam brought the soup to the young master. Young master didn't drink it. When he closed the door, the soup was spilled and splashed on young madam's body..."

Hearing the maid's words, Nanny May, who was in charge of the kitchen, took a deep breath and said, "Well, is young madam okay? The soup is boiled!"

Now it was Zed Smith's turn to be embarrassed. He didn't expect that the soup was boiled. Last night, no one called the doctor. Was Emily get hurt?

However, Master Smith had already raised his walking stick in the hand and was about to slap Zed.

"You, you bastard!" Master Smith regretted that Zed didn't live up to his expectations.

"How could you do this to Emily? She saved you and let you wake up!"

Zed Smith, who had been arguing about this matter, stopped talking. After all, what happened last night was indeed his fault.

But the marriage.

"Grandpa, allow us to divorce. I don't like Emily."

Master Smith's raised hand trembled and stopped. After a long time, he said, "Zed Smith, I'm old. I can't accept the tragedy of losing young loved ones. Indeed, Emily is not good, but she let you wake up. Then I will take her as my granddaughter-in-law."

Master Smith's words were emotionless, but they made Zed Smith feel a little ashamed.

Zed was too willful to notice grandpa's sadness.

"I'll pick her up." Zed Smith promised.

Master Smith waved his hand and said nothing.

On the other side, when Freda packed up the luggage in the morning, she remembered the card given by Zed before. Without saying anything, she booked the most luxurious presidential suite in the city and checked in.

The scald on her leg last night was slightly blistered. It seemed to be very serious. As soon as Freda relaxed, she felt a burst of burning pain.

"Damn Zed Smith!" After checking the wound, Freda finally decided to go to the hospital.

The scald was alleviated a little by ice and medicine.

Thinking of what Zed Smith had done, Freda decided to fight back, making Zed hate her but can't drive her away.

Instead of going back to the hotel, Freda went straight to the company and sat down in the secretary's office, announcing that she would continue to work.

The people in the office didn't know what to do, so they had to go to find Zed Smith as soon as possible.

Zed Smith knew that Freda had come to the company, so he took her to his office.

"I apologize for what happened last night. I didn't know the soup was hot." Even if Zed Smith apologized, he didn't do it sincerely. On the contrary, Freda felt that he did this only due to mercies.

"It doesn't matter. I won't go back anyway."

Zed Smith frowned at her unusual arrogance.

"What else do you want to do?"

"Can't you see that I'm running away from home?" Freda talked back.

"Then why do you still come to the company since you want to leave?" Zed Smith lost his patience.

But Freda smiled, "of course I come. I have to make money to support myself. If you don't have anything else, I'll leave first."

"Don't make trouble." There was no emotion in Zed Smith's words.

Freda stopped and then walked out of the CEO's office without looking back.

Zed Smith's last warning made Freda unhappy. She pretended not to see Adrian Smith and went back to the secretary's office angrily.

Zed Smith wanted to say something more, but he couldn't open his mouth.

Zed knew how it felt to be treated back. He was a little angry, and the managers who came to report to him were scolded badly. They had to sigh that his boss's mind was complicated.

Unlike last time, when Freda came back to the secretary department, she had a higher status this time.

That's right. The last person who offended Freda was dismissed now, wasn't he?

The people in the secretary department were smart and knew that Freda was a mascot, so they ignored her existence and were busy with their own business, without saying anything more.

But Freda didn't care. She opened the game and began to play as if no one was around.

When it was time to get off work, Freda stretched herself and stood up to say to the people in the room, "It's time to get off work!"

Then Freda picked up her bag and walked out of the secretary's office quickly. She bumped into Zed who came to look for her.

When Freda's nose hit Zed Smith's shoulder, she burst into tears and shouted angrily, "What are you doing?"

Zed Smith didn't feel pain even though he was hit. He didn't care about the question and said unhappily, "Go home."

But Freda sneered and thought, "Must I go home?"

Then why did I move out this morning?

For fun?

No way!

"No, don't stop me." Freda pushed Zed away and was about to leave.

Zed Smith knew that if Freda didn't come back today, he would be scolded by Master Smith. He could only say, "It is my fault last night. Grandpa is worried about you."

Then Zed looked at the legs of Freda.

"Well, no need to worry." Freda didn't think Zed was kind-hearted.

Zed Smith was annoyed by the unwillingness of Freda. He didn't like her, but she was his wife. He liked Freda Ivans, but what was her identity? A mistress? A lover?

The more Zed Smith thought about it, the angrier he got.

"Then divorce with me!" Regardless of the people around them, Zed directly grabbed Freda.

Freda was not to be outdone. Freda did want to divorce before, but Master Smith didn't allow her to do so. But now she changed her idea. Freda did not want Zed's dream to come true!

"Then you can go to grandpa. As long as he agrees, I will agree. Otherwise... You can be my, Emily White's husband!" Freda was hostile to Zed.

The quarrel between the two made the people around want to avoid it subconsciously.

Zed Smith had no choice as long as he heard his grandfather. Yes, as long as his grandfather didn't agree, Zed could do nothing to Freda.

"Then what on earth do you want?"

"It's not what I want. It's you, Zed Smith. Since you hate me so much, I'll stay away from you. Isn't it what you want?"

Zed Smith couldn't do anything about Freda.

"Mr. Smith, this is just the beginning," said Freda with a smile. Then she turned around and left the company.
