Chapter 24 Being Calculated

When Freda paid her attention to Zed Smith, the Ivans family made a big action.

With the investment of the K Enterprises, the Ivans family had climbed several steps all of a sudden, and the wealthy families in the capital city had also slightly changed -- the Ivans family had become the third largest family besides the Smith family and the Longman family.

As the only daughter of Theon Ivans, Nina Ivans also made a difference. At least people laughed at her in front of her, but now they laughed at her behind her back.

However, after that thing happened, it seemed that Nina Ivans had been stimulated. She became more and more shameless and had a deeper obsession with Zed Smith. Nina came to the Smith Enterprises directly and asked to see him, but she was stopped again and again.

"It's so annoying! The Smith Enterprises doesn't allow me to go upstairs!" Nina stormed into an office and threw her bag on the sofa.

The man in the office smiled, stood up, and pressed Nina Ivans on the sofa. "Don't be so impatient, Nina."

Then he handed a cup of drink to Nina.

However, it was unusual for Nina Ivans to get close to the man. "I don't want to go. Zed Smith is just a stone. I'm annoyed to see him!"

The man's face was a little stiff, but he still held her in his arms and said, "Since we are going to do something important, we can't make a fuss about it with Zed Smith. We'll put up with him later, Nina. When we get what we want, all the humiliation will be gone."

Upon hearing this, Nina Ivans nodded and leaned her lips closer to the man. "Then you have to coax me..."

The man smiled and carried Nina Ivans into the lounge.

After a long while, Nina Ivans blushed scarlet. She leaned against the man's chest and said, "I wanted to finish the task as soon as possible, but I couldn't even see Zed Smith."

The man narrowed his eyes and thought for a while. "Aren't you a good friend of Miss. Smith, Violette Smith? Why don't you ask her for help?"

Hearing that, Nina Ivans was a little embarrassed. She raised her body slightly. She knew that she had sold her friends in public, so how could Violette talk to her?

"Well..."

Seeing her hesitation, the man didn't care much. Instead, he said "In fact, I also knew what happened in the Smith family that day. But you and Miss Smith were set up. It was you who wanted to drug Zed Smith, but why did Miss. Smith fall into the trap? Besides, why did Emily White happen to appear in the corridor? How did Mr. Smith know that you entered the room and bring a group of people to open the door? Silly girl, you were framed."

Nina widened her eyes, "What?"

The man held Nina in his arms and continued, "It seems that the person who set you up is very scheming. She humiliated you and made Miss. Smith be driven out of the Smith family..."

Was Violette kicked out of the Smith family?!

Recently, Nina Ivans had been hooking up with the man in front of her, so she didn't pay much attention to these things.

She didn't expect that Master Smith would be so cruel that he drove Violette Smith out of the house.

"What do you mean?"

"Miss. Smith was hurt so badly that she must find someone to take revenge." The man stopped and didn't continue. Nina Ivans understood that although Violette Smith might not like her now, they had a common enemy now, wouldn't they?

"I'm leaving now." Nina Ivans was in a hurry to look for Violette.

The man didn't ask her to stay. As soon as he saw Nina Ivans leave, he pulled a long face and went into the bathroom, wishing to almost wash off his skin.

On the other side, since Violette left the Smith family, her life was not so good.

Violette's parents blamed her over and over again every day. They didn't give her a good look at home, and her living standard plummeted. The little sisters who used to suck up to her had all gone, and they had long distanced themselves from her.

The great change in life made Violette Smith sink into alcohol.

It seemed that by doing so, she was still the spoiled Miss. Smith.

After getting the hint, Nina Ivans, tried every means to find out the whereabouts of Violette. Finally, Nina got to know where Violette often went. Nina guarded for three days and finally saw her.

"Violette!" As soon as Nina saw Violette Smith, she rushed up to her.

Violette Smith didn't forget how Nina had betrayed her that day, so when Violette saw Nina, she turned around and was about to leave without hesitation.

"Violette! Listen to me!" Nina trotted towards Violette Smith and grabbed her arm.

"What? Tell me that you sell me after I help you a lot?"

With a pitiful look on her face, Nina Ivans said in a sobbing voice, "We were set up! Yes, I made you suffer, but are you going to let go of the real manipulator?"

"I did something wrong with you. Why is there still someone plotting against us?" Violette wondered?

Violette wanted to leave, but Nina held her hand tightly.

"Go ahead. I'd like to see what you can say."

Seeing that she had a chance to explain, Nina Ivans smiled secretly and pulled Violette into the private room.

"Violette, it was my fault that night. I apologize to you first." Nina said sincerely. "But after I came back, I thought about it carefully and felt something wrong."

Violette Smith looked at Nina with doubt.

"Think about it. Only you and I know about this plan. How could you be so coincidentally poisoned? How could so many guests know that I entered the room?"

At first, Violette thought that Nina was apologizing to her, but it turned out that Nina felt that what happened that night was a deliberate scheme. Violette's feeling towards Nina Ivans was getting worse and worse.

"What do you mean?"

"Our plan has been exposed! You and I have been framed."

"Nonsense!" Violette talked back, "It's our fault. How could someone scheme against us? You still want to blame everything on others at this time!"

Violette Smith didn't want to listen anymore. She stood up and was about to leave. Nina grabbed her hand and shouted, "Think about it. You were drugged and then who saved you?"

"Emily White?" Violette was a little hesitant. Logically speaking, she shouldn't have doubted Emily since Emily had saved her life.

"I didn't mean to suspect her, but it's just a coincidence, isn't it?"

Hearing Nina Ivans' words, Violette stopped. Yes, Emily White was a junior high school student. How could she know medical skills to detoxify her?

Seeing that Violette was a little hesitant, Nina took the initiative to make it clear to her, "Think about it. Emily is a junior high school student. She can at most take you back to her room. How can she save you?"

"Maybe, maybe she has learned something by herself..."

"Do you believe it yourself?"

Violette Smith was conflicted. She always thought that Emily White was not that bad, but what Nina said was reasonable.

"I, I'm leaving now!" Violette didn't want to suspect Emily.

This time, Nina Ivans let go of her and said softly, "Okay, go back and think about it. Emily is the only woman in the Smith family now."

After a pause, Violette opened the door and left.

Watching this, Nina knew that Violette had accepted her explanation.

Nina couldn't help but sigh that although Violette Smith had been the noble daughter of the Smith family since she was a child, her brain was simply incompatible with that of the rich. She couldn't get to the point to behave badly. Violette was weak-minded and could only be led by Nina.

Leaving the room, Nina Ivans thought, "Emily White, how dare you set me up? I'd like to see how long you can be proud of yourself!
