Aaliyah is an orphan living in an orphanage since she was two months old and has been raised by Madea who takes her as her own daughter. By her side is her childhood friend, Savannah who lives a luxurious life with her divorced father however,she has no idea where or who her mother is. After receiving a scholarship award from the government, Aaliyah and Savannah are enrolled in one of the best and most expensive colleges in town. There,they meet Quan who becomes Aaliyah's boyfriend and CJ his best friend who becomes Savannah's talkative buddy. During their college romance, Aaliyah faces persecution from Cassandra who likes Quan and she keeps taunting Aaliyah about her financial situation but Savannah stands up for her best friend. Quan handles Cassandra in a way that she will never mock Aaliyah again. During the college prom, Quan masters the courage to tell Aaliyah how he feels about her. Two months later, Quan requests that his girlfriend shows him her home but Aaliyah refuses because she worries that Quan might be embarrassed. 5 years after graduating from college, Aaliyah and Quan are still together with their best friends. Quan and CJ are living in their own apartment, haven't found stable jobs yet but are working as hotel attends. Aaliyah has a stable job as an actor's personal assistant while Savannah is working in her father's big firm. Through thick and thin, the four friends stay by each other's side. Seeing how much Quan's parents call him lazy, Aaliyah decides to write multiple application letters to different hospitals without Quan's knowledge and for sure,Quan gets a job as a doctor but his boss Stella falls for him. When she meets Aaliyah, Stella is filled with hatred for her and she tries her best to make Quan hate dump Aaliyah. Aaliyah starts falling ill  and she finds out she has an illness which she hides from everyone. Quan later gets to know of the illness and he sets out to fulfill Aaliyah's biggest wish.

It's so Hard to Say Goodbye

Aaliyah is a 19 year old girl who has lived at the orphanage since she was two months old. Her mother and father divorced even before she was born due to an argument, causing her mother die of trauma as told by her caretaker. After writing her highschool exams with her best friend Savannah and passing with flying colors, she gets a college scholarship from the government thanks to her intelligence and good behavior. She is enrolled in one of the best, expensive and popular colleges. Being all excited about college, Savannah goes to the orphanage to visit her best friend and tell her just how excited she is about it. She greets Madea, the caretaker and rushes to Aaliyah who is busy doing the dishes In the kitchen. Savannah decides to help Aaliyah finish the dishes quickly so they can go to the supermarket and do some college shopping. As they are doing the dishes, Savannah keeps blubbering about how happy she is that she gets to go to college finally, 


" You know what Aaliyah, I've always dreamt of going to college and now it's happening yay!" She daydreams. 


Aaliyah Looks at Savannah and just smiles. When they finish washing plates, Aaliyah changes into something better and seeks Madea's permission to escort Savannah to the supermarket. Madea looks at Aaliyah with a serious face, 


" Why just escort her when you can buy some clothes yourself?" Madea asks Aaliyah. 


Aaliyah becomes speechless as she doesn't know what the question means or is all about. Madea gets out of her seat and smiles at Aaliyah and gives her some money, 


" Here is some money I've saved for you,buy yourself some new outfits as well" 


Aaliyah takes the money from Madea and hugs her while thanking her. Savannah and Aaliyah go to the supermarket and do some shopping together 


the girls' first day of college, Aaliyah bumps into a certain guy whom she doesn't know by accident, 


"Am so sorry...I didn't mean to" Aaliyah apologizes to the boy. 


The boy however tells Aaliyah it's no big deal as accidents do happen. When Aaliyah looks up to see the boy, she can't help but stare in amazement. He has a medium height, brown eyes with large iris,small eyes, long lashes and thick eyebrows. A straight jawline, plump lips and perfectly shaped white teeth. He introduces himself as Quan but when's he asks Aaliyah her name,she stammers, 


" Well uhm...uh what I mean is that... my name is Aaliyah" She finally says it. 


Quan sees that Aaliyah is nervous but he asks her if they can be friends and without wasting even a minute she agrees. Quan's best friend CJ walks in on them and tells him they have to get to class so he tells Aaliyah goodbye and walks away. Savannah sees how her Aaliyah is blushing so she makes fun of her all the way to the classroom. During the lunch hour,the girls go to the cafeteria to have lunch and Quan and CJ join them. The four chat about college but since CJ and Savannah are talkative,they argue through out. After classes, CJ and Quan take their car and drive home while Aaliyah is given a ride by Savannah. When Quan gets home,he tells his elder brother about the girl he just recently met at the college, 


" You should have been there to see this girl John,she is so beautiful. Her amber eyes,rosy cheeks,the dimples and that bright smile that would take all your worries away" He daydreams.. 


John laughs asks Quan if he likes the girl and he agrees quickly but when John tells him to confess his feelings,he hesitates. "I can't even if I wanted to because she won't agree. I mean we just met today" He explains. 


John tells him to wait a little and to get to know her better. When she gets to her home, Aaliyah can't stop thinking about Quan and how kind he was towards her. Madea notices how Aaliyah is blushing and decides to know what's making her so happy. Aaliyah doesn't hide anything from Madea so she tells her about Quan. Madea is happy for Aaliyah but advises her to be careful.
