{Valorie Saves The Day?}

----{Back to the present}----

Ghost nudged Hedwid's motionless body sadly and looked at the group, who were running over to see what had happened.

Valorie quickly went over to carry Hedwig on her shoulders and looked for a safe place to rest, a place away from the chaos that was going on in the throne room. Then, Hal tapped her on the shoulder and whispered,

"Hey Valorie?"

Valorie turned around and asked, "What is it, Hal?"

"Hedwig isn't dead right? You can heal her?"

"She's not dead yet," Valorie answered. "I'll think up of something and hopefully, it will work." Valorie set Hedwig down against the wall and went over to pat Hal on the back.

"You're not yourself right now," she said. "Go kill the rest of the mobs in the throne room with Hex and I'll heal Hedwig." Then she added, "By the time you guys come back, she'll be awake."

"Ok then, off I go," Hal said, heading to the throne room. "Hey! Get over here and help me Hex!"

Valorie looked at the wolf beside her and said, "You are going to help them out, ok boy?" Ghost nodded and went to join the boy in battle.

"Alright," Valorie said looking at Hedwig, who was still as a rock. "Hopefully this works," she said, putting a totem of regeneration on the floor. It made a glowing red circle, outlined with ancient letters, around Hedwig and started to regenerate her health and heal her injuries.

Hedwig's health was restored, but she didn't wake up.

"Hmmm..." Valorie searched her bag and felt something prick her finger. It was a cactus spine that she had to pluck from her armor during their desert journey. With a smile on her face, she walked up to Hedwig and poked her arm with the spine.

Hedwig yelped, waking up from her sleep.

When she saw Valorie, she said, "Thanks for healing me, but why did it have to be a cactus spine?"

Valorie shrugged and replied, "I needed to see if you were still alive. The boys would be very happy to see you awake again."
