Someone is back

The streetlight already turned green a moment ago and she didn't notice it until she heard the horn of the car at her back. She step on the gas pedal and as soon as she arrives at Xu Zhou's house, the rain stopped. They are now setting the fire for barbecues on the rooftop.

They also have a hotpot and some beer. Xu Zhou is wearing a matching couple hoodie with his wife, Ju Qing Wei. Xu Zhou turned twenty-eight today and Ju Qing Wei is only at the age of twenty-seven, if you think about it, wearing couple clothes at their age is not too childish, they aren't too late for them to experience youth again. If you see two people, who are cold in their subordinates and to other people, wearing a cute doggy hoodie right now while being so cheerful can make you laugh.

Xu Zhou smiled at her. "Xiao Qin, you came." He told her. "Did you bring a present?"

Su Xiao Qin gave him a small exquisite box. "Happy Birthday." She greeted him. "You look very nice in your hoodie." She said with a teasing smile.

"Never grows old, I guess." He answered. "Anyway, Qing Qing thought of this idea not mine."

Then suddenly, Ju Qing Wei answered, "What about me?"

"Nothing, Xiao Qin is just complimenting my hoodie." Xu Zhou immediately answered. He knows that he didn't do anything wrong but he's being too careful not to offend her or anything because she's a tigress in disguise. Xu Zhou left Su Xiao Qin and lead Ju Qing Wei to the kitchen.

Then Xu Zhou's mother saw Su Xiao Qin. "Xiao Qin, you look even thinner. Don't stress yourself too much." She told her. "Next time I came here. I'll bring you fresh gingers from our hometown."

"It's very kind of you, Auntie Xu but you don't have to trouble yourself." Su Xiao Qin politely replied. To be honest, she really doesn't like the smell of ginger but Xu Zhou's mother always brought her a bunch of it, she can't help but after a couple of years, she finally gets used to it to show some gratitude. Also, it cost some money to buy some ginger while she can get it for free and she didn't want to waste money.

"Nonsense, your mother is a friend of mine, you don't have to be shy." She said. "Anyway, I want to ask you something."

"You can ask me anything, Auntie."

"I was kind of worried about you." She said. "I notice that you'll be turning twenty-seven next two months and you still have no boyfriend."

Su Xiao Qin can't help but smile. "Auntie, I'm still too young. I'm not in a hurry to get into a relationship already."

"Xiao Qin, I promised your mother that I will look for you and your brother before she passed away." Auntie Xu is kind of worried about her so she can't help but keep nagging. "I'm already sixty and I don't know when will be my body will give in. Xu Zhou is already settled but you still aren't. I can't leave you without someone taking care of you."

"I understand your concern, Auntie Xu." Su Xiao Qin said. "But we can't force it if I can't find someone good for me."

Auntie Xu smiled. "You know, Xiao Qin. An old friend of mine has a son who is a year older than you. He's a professor and his salary is quite good. I met him once and he looks like a decent man. What if I set up the two of you?"

"But Auntie-"

"Don't worry, just try to have dinner with him." She said. "If you think the two of you aren't compatible with each other then you don't have to meet him again."

Su Xiao Qin sighed. If she keeps declining, Auntie Xu will set her up on many blind dates again. "I think I can try."

"Great, I'll tell my friend and pick a good date." Auntie Xu said happily.

While eating with his parents, friends, and wife, Su Xiao Qin received a call from someone. She excused herself and answered it. It was a call from home.

"Young mistress, are you going back home tonight?" an old lady asked on the other side of the phone.

"Sorry, Auntie Fu," she said. "I forgot to tell you that Xu Zhou will be celebrating his birthday today."

"I got it, young mistress." She replied politely. "Before anything else, I want to tell you that Young Master Su came back."

When she heard that Su Zhi is back, she was surprised. "Auntie Fu, don't let take your eyes from Su Zhi. I'll be back in twenty minutes." After that, she hangs up.

"Please excuse me, I have to attend to something urgent." She told them. She left in a hurry. She step on the gas pedal and drove her like a race car. It was indeed urgent. Su Zhi is back. Why would he be back?

When she reached her villa, she hurriedly entered and saw a young man at the age of fourteen sitting on the couch while eating ice cream.

"Su Zhi, did you run again from the hospital?" she said angrily. "And why are you still eating an ice cream?"

Su Zhi looked at her. "Sis, can you calm down?"

"How am I supposed to calm down if you ran away from the hospital again? You're supposed to stay at the hospital." She told him. "I'll book you a plane ticket. We're going back to States tomorrow."

"No, I want to stay here." He declined her firmly. "You can't do anything."

"Oh, yeah?" she said. "You're going back with me even if you don't want to. Do you think you can do anything if I want you to go back?"

"I will stay here and it's final." After saying those words, his nose began to bleed.

Su Xiao Qin saw the blood coming out of his nose. "Auntie Fu, call the ambulance immediately." she told her. She looked for tissue papers and wiped the blood. "I told you, you should stay at the hospital."

After a couple of minutes, the ambulance came. She rushed him to the hospital. The doctor examined him and he was diagnosed with leukemia. Su Xiao Qin knows that he has leukemia that's why she sent him to States. Seven years ago, he was involved in a car accident and had brain surgery. He even has amnesia for two years. While a year ago, he was diagnosed with a second stage of leukemia.

He even ran away twice these past few months from the hospital and this time is the third one. He is quite big-headed so she can't help but worry about him. Her mother also died because of leukemia this disease can't be considered hereditary but it can increase the chance of having one if one of your closest family members does have it.

After an hour, his condition began to stable. She'll let him stay here first until his condition is finally stable then she will send him to States again. When she went to the billing division to pay all the statements of accounts, she saw a young lady trying to bargain with the staff.

"Sir, I only have three thousand yuan." She said. "Can I pay the rest next month?"

"Miss, this is not a market." The staff said. "You can't bargain the life of the person here. That's the rule of the hospital."

"But my mother has to be operated on as soon as possible." She said.

"Miss, I can't do that." He said. "If I do that, I'll be dismissed."

Then suddenly the man she saw earlier from the road. He was drenched from the rain earlier. He was carrying a black back. "Xuan, I got the money you don't have to worry."

They paid the bill and he saw Su Xiao Qin who was standing far away from them. He smiled at him but he doesn't say a word. Lu Xuan looked at her with a smirk. "Dad, what she's doing here?"

"Come on, we have to see your mother." He told Lu Xuan to avoid trouble.

Lu Xuan looked at her. "Maybe she's ill. Good for her," she said. "She probably waiting for you, Dad to beg some money for her medical expenses."

"Come on, don't speak nonsense." That man told Lu Xuan.

Su Xiao Qin can't help but stay silent. She didn't want to say something that will cause further commotion and most importantly, this is a public place. She has a reputation to maintain.
