Meeting an old acquaintance

Another day has come, and Su Xiao Qin left for work. She reminded Auntie Fu not to leave Su Zhi because he is such a wise boy. He will do anything to run away again even if his condition is terrible.

She went to work that day to check some pending projects. She also needs to have a meeting with the interior designer for the new hotel. After arriving at the company, Gu Ding Yun rushed towards her with a folder.

"Good morning, President Su." He politely greeted her. "You have an urgent meeting with the board members."

"What is it this time?" she asked him. She rushed to the meeting room while thinking about what kind of mistake they wanted to discuss this time.

When she reached the meeting room an old man, Hua Cheng, was standing at the front of the stockholders. He is one of her enemies in the position for a very long time.

One of the stockholders Zhang Leng, who was a middle-aged man and the most sharp-tongued of all, kept tapping the table. "President Su, what solution do you have now?"

She looked puzzled when he asked that question. Gu Ding Yun came closer to her and showed a statement on Weibo that her photo was captured with a statement, 'The president of Su Group is sick. It's confirmed that she has a terminal case that can be transmitted and has a short life to live. Who will be the future heir of the outstanding real state and designing company?'

After looking for the statement, Hua Cheng smirked. "President Su, a rule is a rule. The president of the Su Group shouldn't have an illness that can lead to neglecting her duty as the president, which is the highest position." He said. "You can provide evidence that can help you clear your name and continue your duty as the president. If you haven't, we have no choice but to reinstate you."

"I think this is some sort of misunderstanding." She said. "If the evidence you need, I'll get the evidence you're looking for." After saying those words, she walked out of the room.

Entering her office, she called Gu Ding Yun. "Arrange a schedule in the hospital for me this weekend." She ordered him. "Also, investigate who spread those rumors."

"Yes, President Su." He replied before leaving the office.

Who has the guts to do this to her? Is that person already exhausted to live? After working overtime at the company again, she decided to leave at almost midnight. She doesn't go back home when she finishes her work instead she goes to the hospital. Who cares if her enemy keeps spouting rumors against her again, her brother is much more important than anything else.

When she entered the room, she saw Auntie Fu still wasn't asleep even Su Zhi. "Why the two of you don't rest yet?"

Auntie Fu looked at her. "Young mistress, the young master can't sleep yet even though he took the sleeping pills."

Su Xiao Qin nodded. "Go home, Auntie Fu, and rest. I'll take care of him."

"But you're already tired," she complained. "Why not rest and I'll take care of young master?"

"No, Auntie Fu. You should rest." She said. "I still have to find a solution for his insomnia."

Auntie Fu sighed and nodded. She guessed that she couldn't do anything about that. Su Xiao Qin sat beside her brother. "So now what do you want, Su Zhi?" she asked him.

He looked at her, "I just wondering if I could have a phone to play games." He said pleadingly.

"No, I don't agree." She said firmly. "Radiation isn't good for you. Now rest or I will even confiscate your board games."

"But I can't sleep." He complained. "You can't order someone to sleep if he really can't sleep."

"It's better if you have no dreams than lack of sleep." She told him. "Now, sleep. Who cares if you can't sleep? If you're eager to sleep just close your eyes so that you will fall asleep." After that, she coughed. Maybe she caught a cold.

"Fine, you should also sleep." He said. He knows that she is already tired and it's bad if she even caught a cold. It's better to agree much earlier than letting her wake up all night without even a rest. "I'll close my eyes and then you also have to sleep."

"Yeah, I'll sleep if you fall asleep." She said. "That way, I can make sure you're not pretending to be asleep."

"Yes, boss." He answered his sister.

He closed his eyes and tried to sleep while counting sheep. He can't help to laugh at himself because he is too old for that and it works for him after taking the sleeping pills.

Another morning, Su Xiao Qin woke up early and saw Auntie Fu already brought breakfast for them. She ate while looking at Su Zhi who was still sleeping. Well, it's been so long anyway and the boy she is facing now is lying down on the hospital bed again and again.

Before she left, she took a last glance at him. He is a naughty boy but she wants him to have a normal life like the other kids have. He took private lessons these last few years and he improved greatly in different fields. If he could just be like the normal kid living in the real outside world, he could have improved much more.

Closing the door and walking towards the hospital's elevator, she saw Lu Xuan carrying a huge plastic bag filled with fruits. Lu Xuan also noticed her so she stopped for a while to have some talk with her.

"Long time, no see, Xiao Qin." She said while smirking at her like she was so mighty in front of her.

Su Xiao Qin smiled. "It's been a long time, Lu Xuan." She replied to her.

"I guessed you can't pay the medical bill, that's why you followed Dad here." She told her straightforwardly while looking at her up and down. "Well, you looked much better than you did seven years ago. Did you find a rich boyfriend?" She insulted her while laughing hysterically like a fool.

Then the elevator opened. But before Su Xiao Qin entered, she looked at her and said, "You never change. You're as cheap as always." She entered while observing her mad look.

"Let's see who will win in the end." Lu Xuan told her before the elevator finally closed.
